When I was installing my set, the clamps were loose out of the box, but they wouldn’t fit on my SUV. It took me over an hour of fiddling before I realized that they could be loosened more. After that, it takes some trial and error to get them to sit completely perfect on the roof. That wasn’t as frustrating, but you have to be extra careful. However once they’re on, they’re great. I’ve put 1,500 miles on them with a full carrier box on top, and no issues. Sturdy and drama-free. Review: Works well with f150 setup - Works well on our F150. Easy to install. Has held up well on a couple trips so far.
