Colorescience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50, 1.8 Fl Oz

I've been using the "classic" for about 6 weeks now, and I love it. It feels great on my skin. It's cleared up any scars I've had on my face. It has added so many benefits to my skin, and made it glowy. I love that it's easy to apply, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and doesn't pile. It adds a great glow to your skin, and wears well over my daily moisturizer. As someone who's gone through so much sunscreen, this one is definitely a keeper. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. Quality

I love this sun protector. It doesn’t pill up like some sun screens and the mild tint helps my skin look smoother and more even. It’s also not oily feeling at all. It’s worth the price.

I have been using this for years. It’s truly the best sunscreen. It gives a subtle glow. Doesn’t stick in your wrinkles if you have them. My dermatologist commented I have done a great job protecting my skin but I owe it all to Colorscience. I also use the powder they have on top of this if it’s a very sunny day.

UPDATE: Okay I could not find anything better than this. By far the best mineral sunscreen under makeup for brown skin. I deal with the minimal eye irritation later in the day and just make sure I wash my face thoroughly with an oil cleanser and don’t leave it on too long in order to avoid breakouts. —- I have brown skin. I bought the Original color because I didn’t want any added glow. I bought this because it’s a mineral formula and the protection is really high. I’m highly allergic to chemical sunscreen and allergic to a lot of things. The formula is nice. Fairly thin texture and spreads nicely. It does leave a faint white cast even after settling into my skin. Not at all bad though compared to other mineral sunscreens. I wear makeup on top. I tried this with 3 different foundations/tinted makeup. Under MAC face and body makeup, which is a really sheer foundation, the combo felt fine. Under Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin, the combo felt HEAVY and settled into my fine lines throughout the day even after setting with powder and also the make up looked patchy. Doesn’t look like this when I’ve used it without sunscreen. Tried with Chanel VITALUMIÈRE AQUA (what I use regularly) and felt good. Not heavy at all and no issues. I do put the sunscreen around my eyes and find that later in the day it seeps into then resulting in redness and mild irritation. I do find that if I leave it on for 12 hours I start to break out. I can’t purchase again bc of these reasons but you might be fine. Honestly though it’s the best mineral sunscreen I’ve tried so far based on protection, slight white cast, and texture. I have to keep searching but It’s worth trying for yourself.

I love this brand of sunscreen for the face. Colorscience Classic goes on smooth and blends in with my natural fair coloring. It protects my skin well. I use it every day since my dermatologist kept reminding how important it is to protect my skin.

I have been using Colorscience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Original color for over 5 years. I love that the color blends with your skin so well and provides a natural looking finish. It does not cover all of my dark spots or defects, but it makes my natural skin look better. The finish is soft and silky and the 50 helps protect my skin from additional sun damage. If you are looking for a more natural finish, this is a great choice.

Love this! Blends into natural skin color so well. Coverage is great without looking cakey or like heavy makeup but evens out skin tone and lasts all day. Doesn’t dry my skin. I’m 50+ and don’t even use moisturizer before applying. Apply with fingers and use a brush with powder and again, lasts all day! I don’t use anything else. However I do NOT like their color sciencepowder. It’s horrible. But I love the Younique pressed powder with it. Bought on a whim to get spf and so glad I did. Tried It brand and some others and none compares!

My skin is Fitzpatrick type 2, cool tone, oily, acne-prone, redness-prone, and sensitive. I did a LOT of research before buying this product since it is pricey. I was hoping this would be my holy grail sunscreen like it is for some many others, but sadly it is not. It never dries down, even after repeated times trying to rub it in. I can look in the mirror and see the microdots of peachy color all over my face and lines under my eyes. I use minimal skincare, so I know it’s not reacting/interfering with other products. It is super shiny and settles into my wrinkles. (Mine aren’t even that bad, but who needs their lines to look worse?!). My family made multiple comments about my shiny skin. (Different from oily) It is fine under makeup, but it always makes my skin feel heavy. To be fair, I use the AAD recommended amount of 1/4t for my face alone because I am serious about my skin and sunscreen. It didn’t irritate my skin or make my face break out, which is great. But I cannot get over the shiny, heavy feeling, and it making my skin look bad all day. This is also way too expensive for what it is. I am willing to pay for quality holy grail products, especially since sunscreen is the #1 most important predict in your routine, but this isn’t worth the price. I also do not like that you have to shake the product every time you use it (personal preference). So I am off to find another one. Sunscreen is so important that you should enjoy using it, and I dreaded this one every morning. (Used another one for touch ups throughout the day). Side note, I ordered in May and it expired in August of the same year. Usually with sunscreens, they have a 2-3 year shelf life. And this bottle doesn’t seem to be recyclable, at least in my area. One star off for the formulation and one star off for the price/bottle/small size.

To be honest I love it more than flex! It suits my skin color so well, it gives you a very light coverage, it’s more like your skin but better. I don’t feel it on my skin and it doesn’t break me out. I have combination/oily skin and during the day it feels perfect. Of course safe and quality ingredients, good protection level. Highly recommend.

La Protection Totale du Visage SPF 50 de Colorescience est un excellent produit. Elle offre une excellente protection solaire tout en ayant un fini qui ressemble à celui d’un fond de teint, ce qui unifie bien le teint. Cependant, je dois mentionner qu'elle laisse un léger résidu, ce qui peut être un peu gênant. Malgré cela, sa texture crémeuse s'applique facilement et donne à ma peau un aspect radieux. Elle est parfaite pour une utilisation quotidienne, et j’apprécie qu'elle résiste à l'humidité. C'est un incontournable dans ma routine beauté. Je recommande ce produit à celles qui recherchent une protection efficace et un joli rendu sur la peau !
