I am sorry to say it did absolutely nothing for me. I personally don't mind the taste as others on here do, I just found it to have no effect whatsoever. But this product is almost unbelievable in its efficacy. I take vitamins, but that is about the extent of my confidence in holistic health remedies; this product however is something else. I have been using it on and off for about 2 years and I would say, on average, it cuts the length and severity of my cold symptoms in half. Many is the time that it has nipped an incipient cold in the bud so there were no symptoms to measure. You have to take it early and often. Also, it tastes absolutely disgusting - there's just no beating around the bush on that. I know they sold a colloidal silver salve, but I don't know if they sold colloidal silver to be taken internally, as do numerous other vendors of herbal products. If so, I can say that such a product is dangerous quack medicine, and you can do your own research about that. Suffice it to say, a regular dose of colloidal silver will turn your skin and fingernails permanently blue and won't benefit your health in any way. Yet other other companies continue to sell that dangerous product, and the government apparently couldn't care less.However, I can speak to the value of Quantum's Cold & Flu Formula, having used it often for over a year myself with great results and no discernible harmful side effects. And, frankly, it pisses me off that the government leaned on this company so heavily that this great product is no longer available and all their employees were thrown out of work. But that's par for the course with the FDA, isn't it? They'll approve countless dangerous and even lethal products circulated by big drug companies, who, of course, spend millions on their lobbying (AKA bribery) efforts in Washington. But let a small company produce an herbal product that kicks the crap out of the drug companies' products and the government will take an oppressive interest in that small company and crush them out of existence.Once again, the public gets shafted by the best government money can buy.Edit: I repent of my folly and apologize sincerely to anyone who read the above review of mine and took this product as a result. After having taken it for years when I felt cold symptoms, I've started to suffer from heart palpitations but never put two and two together, fool that I am. Last night, I took two doses of this stuff (renamed "C&F Seasonal Support" by the company, who rebranded themselves as "Woodstock Herbal Products" to continue selling their products after facing pressure from the FDA). I had a terrible night, with the worst heart palpitations I've experienced so far. Bottom line, I suspect that some ingredient or ingredients in this product is a toxin that builds up in one's system over time and does damage once it builds up enough. I'll never take this stuff again, and I'm going to contact poison control and the FDA to see if they can identify any such toxins in the product. Meanwhile, don't be a fool like me: Don't take stuff concocted by make-believe chemists who aren't regulated by the FDA, or who dodge regulation by changing their name.
