Sheep

My first grader has the fortune to be the 6th child and has been read to every night since the day she was born. She usually is read books that her siblings are reading and that is how Sheep came to be her favorite book. She asked me to order this so that we could donate this to the school library for her birthday(a fantastic tradition). Her copy is well worn and well loved by a pup loving little girl, and her siblings before her.

What a wonderful book. A teacher friend of mine recommended it so I decided to read it before giving it to my great niece. I’m so glad I did—wonderful story, good message, and overall very entertaining. We both loved it.

Enjoyed reading this with my daughter for her book report. She enjoyed the many adventures. Also it was a good read for her to read on her own.

Jack the Border Collie is a heartwarming character. You can't help but feel his joy as a puppy, his pain and suffering when he's separated from his loved ones and ultimately his peace when he's given a new family. I would recommend this book to anyone, young or old, who loves a tale of hope!

I purchased this book for my grand-daughter, she had checked it out at the local library and was unable to finsh it before it had to be turned in (I had rechecked it out three times). I have been trying to encourage her to read and she told me was on chapter six when she had to finally turn it in, so when I found it on Amazon.com I thought it would be a nice surprise for her to have it as her own, she loved it and has been reading it again.

Sheep is a sage and witty character. If I could buy this book for a dollar each, I'd get a class set of 34 and have my 4th graders read it with me. It's got everything you want to teach to children about life, death, and love. I'd also give it to older people who have failed to launch. It's a quick and easy read... it was recommended to me by a former student who is now in 6th grade. She was right... this book "Zings."

I absolutely loved this book. I saw it at a friends house that I was cat sitting for and after a few pages I decided I had to read it so they loaned it to me. I have a rescue Border Collie/Aussie mix and could really relate. I loved it so much I purchased 2 copies for my great-neices and nephews for Christmas! I think it rates right up there with Charlotte's Web!

Sheep was a Christmas gift for my great nephew who is 8. He and his grandpa have sheep and he also happens to like dogs. He really liked the book and got reading points for it at school. I fully recommend it.
