Following a number of house moves, our bed base had become badly marked in places but this valance makes it look like new again. Previously had traditional valances but they are a pain in the neck to maintain and still look old fashioned. Purchased this wrap and it looks so much better - my divan has a sprung base and the elasticity of the spandex means it does not interfere with compression. However, I would definitely advise that if the depth of your base is more than 32/33cm, do not buy as it won't cover from top to bottom.
