Meinl Percussion Pickup Snarecraft Cajon - Big Drum Box with Pickup, Snare, and Bass Sound - Playing Surface Baltic Birch (PSC100B)

It came well packaged and on time. This is my first cajon and I did a ton of research before deciding on this particular one. Meinl is one of the top brands for cajons and it’s easy to see why. The craftsmanship is amazing. This box is beautiful as well as sturdy and holds my weight of 180lbs with no sign of weaknesses. It’s full size, I’m 6’3” and set on it comfortably. The tone of this box is better than I expected, the bass tones are low and easily distinguishable from the snare tones. Acoustically this box sounds full, balanced and overall amazing. You wouldn’t need to mic it for an acoustic set at a small venue. The plug-ins are such a great addition and one of the main reasons I chose this box. They will be perfect for recording and would be great plugged into a PA system or amp at a bigger venue. I tested the plugins on an amp and can say they pick up the tones well. All in all the box is great for beginners and professionals alike, it’s versatile and is capable of producing a variety of great tones. For the price point you really can’t go wrong. I’d recommend this cajon to anybody.

I almost paid the same price for a second hand one. Well packaged and quickly delivered. Sounds great.

unfortunately my cajon arrived not working and also had a big scratch on the faceplate, possibly as it was very poorly packaged by amazon, just wrapped in a few bits of scrumpled up cardboard in a big cardbox, its a shame because the cajon itself feels and sounds quite nice, but I would recommend maybe purchasing elsewhere if this is how amazon looks after and packages instruments. I have returned mine for a refund and will be doing that now probably

The cajon itself has a great sound. Sadly, much like other people's experiences, the pick-up didn't work when plugged in. This was a shame as I was looking forward to playing through speakers, as well as doing some recording.
