In fact it was better cause I didn’t have to have my dark tinted windows up. While car camping, on a 60° night we left these on all night were a total game changer. Stayed nice and cool all night didn’t have no bugs get in on us. While hiking we were able to leave the windows cracked about 3inches and not have to worry about wasps or bees or anything falling out of the trees into our car. I’ve cruised at speeds of up to 50 mph and they kept their integrity. And again the fact that no wasps or bees can fly in the windows while we’re cruising pretty awesome. They totally worked great for filtering out the sun. So easy to put on and takeoff. Im still careful with putting them on and off, and I plan on reinforcing the edges and corners with duct tape. Even though they’re very affordable and I definitely will be buying more. Also, I left my dog in the car for a minute on a 70° day. These really came in handy for that as well. I wouldn’t do it if you have a dog that misbehaves. We have one of each and the one in my picture is the behaving one! I think he loves them too! So to recap: They look good. Filter out the sun. Material is pretty thin but it survived 4 weeks of daily use this year while car camping without any rips. Kept bugs out and that was my intended purpose.
