Review: An amazing light! I have waited nearly 2 years to make a review on this light. I run a small farm and do a lot of rough work with this light, it lives on my belt as an EDC, and after 2 years it is still going strong. I have attached some photos of the light in its current state. The body has lost a bit of paint. It has dents from being used as a hammer, the lens has pitting damage from using it next to a welder and getting metal spatter on it. And the battery is starting to show signs of aging as it doesn't last as long as it used to. But overall this light functions amazing. Is high quality and intuitive to use the functions. I do not have all the programing done in it as I like using it as its basic functions. The beam is narrow and throws very far. There is a side by side photo of a new one my brother bought vs mine. I think most people might not like this for typical EDC desires...it's a great light but this model is a little bit of a one trick pony as a dedicated tight-beam "thrower" light. The optic makes the beam very tight with hardly any spill light outside of the hot spot, so like when pointed near your feet the beam will not shed a lot of light around, will be harshly bright on medium--->high levels, and not very useful at the lowest levels. The similar model IF22 (without the "A") uses a normal reflector and gives a little more spill light while still being a good longer distance thrower. If you want the thrower aspect for sure then that one would maybe be a better choice. Or...there are a million other lights to choose from, too. Sofirn makes very nice ones and all of their IF models are really great. The ramping brightness (instead of stepped h-m-l) is very nice, in particular (you can set these to either ramping or stepped, though, your choice). **Q: Flashlight came with no charge and I charged it over night where the light was blinking red but when I unplugged it, there was still no charge?** A: Not certain about this system but normally a blinking red light while charging means you have a bad cell. I would return it. While charging you should get a steady blue light which goes out when fully charged. **Q: Does this come with the 18650 battery adapter?** A: Yes, tho i haven't tried it yet. It comes with a big battery that is rechargeable and prbly will last 5 years. It's a nice looking flashlight, add far but not as bright as my thrunite tn4a but that one is a little heavier.
