Madden Men's Trace Slip-On

The shoes fit comfortably though they do extend a bit further from the end of my toes. I used these daily and while they look nice and worked fine for my daily walk to the train station they did not hold up for long. After about 9 months they have fallen apart and unglued from the sole on both sides of each shoe. If you are looking for an pair of everyday shoes that can hold up for longer than 6-12 months these are probably not the best choice.

I bought this shoe a second time because I really liked the first pair that I bought in Macys. However, since the first iteration of the show the quality has literally gone down he toilet. The original shoe was made in China and so was the second. The second pair that I bought however was clearly made with the lowest grade materials possible and with the use if extremely harmful chemicals. As soon as you you open the shoe, it reeks of some kind of chemical plaster and the smell is enough to make you want to throw up. I had to leave these shoes outside the fist night.I tried wearing them and they are too big and too wide for my narrow foot. I will be donating them but I would highly discourage anyone from buying this 60 dollar shoe that was very likely made for a few dollars.I would give this shoe -5 stars if I could.

Short review:Well made, true to size, good price. Only good things to say. Buy it.Review:It was time to retire my old pair of shoes. I seem to get up to a year out of any given pair. My previous slip-ons we also Steve Madden. (Whom I have a different view on since watching Wolf of Wall Street, but I digress). They wore well, were quite soft the day I bought them, and lasted about a year. Good deal. These seem similar. They basically require no break in. If my previous pair is any indication, these will last me 9 - 12 months even though they are comfortable now.The design of these is not what I expected. I didn't look at the pictures to carefully. I'm not a fan of the stitching along the side panels. The workmanship is fine, I just didn't know they were there. The show is black and the stitching is not very noticeable unless you're looking for it. The toe panels are also stitched from the top onto the sole. It;s hard to explain in words, but look at the second photo on the product page. It looks odd to me. Again, it's a black shoe and you won't see it unless you're looking right at the shoe, but I don't like it.Other than the strange design choices, I like the shoes. They're comfortable and very good value. I'll be back in the market for some Steve Maddens in another 9 months or so.Bottom line: Recommended. Caveat: Look at the photos on the product page before you buy.

I bought these shoes because they looked sharp, and I got a ton of compliments on them at work. They have a great narrow toe and look really stylish and sharp. There in lies the problem for me. I have wide feet...and by the end of the day the sides of my feet hurt like heck. I finally stopped wearing them for work as I'm on my feet all day. I wish they came in wide sizes on amazon but they don't or I would re order. I kept them and wear them for short periods of time, if I'm not going to be on my feet all day. Great looking shoe...comfortable? Not so much!!

I purchased this pair and Steve Madden Men's Evente Slip-OnBlack12 M US for $69, trust me now, if you want quality just purchase 2 pairs of Steve Madden Men's Evente Slip-OnBlack12 M US and you will not regret it. Madden Men's Trace LoaferBlack12 M US shoes seem have different wear of the folds on the top of the leather as all other shoes I owned. If I had a chance to return them I would, but it's too late after wearing them to work one time. As I walked in the house on carper they seemed perfect but after day of use I would have spend more money and purchased Steve Madden Men's Evente Slip-OnBlack12 M US for $69 instead. If you have less money to spend and you will be ok with these folds after wearing them, than they are great for you. I also found the same style of shoes at ALDO store, but leather quality was way better, but the price was $80.

The shoes appear very nice out of the box. They are a complete size too large, however, my son had to wear them because we ordered them with Prime shipping so he could have them in time for an event and didn't have much wiggle room. After having them on for less than an hour, they had the appearance of being "cracked" on the upper portion of the shoe. The shoe looks nice until it is worn. Would not recommend this shoe to anyone looking for something they are going to wear more than a couple of times. I was very disappointed in the true to size and the wear appearance of this shoe. I was not expecting the quality of a 100 dollar shoe but was expecting something a bit more than what I received; especially when it wears a name like "Madden".

I rarely give a review of one star, but these shoes are among the worst I've ever had. In just under two months of extremely pleasant early fall weather in Ohio, the soles have come unglued, the linings have separated from the inside of the shoe and bunched up, the tops have developed unsightly creases and the stitching has started to come undone.I only wear these shoes to work, where I spend the majority of my time sitting at a desk. I'm simply baffled by the fact that these have worn out so quickly under such light use. Aside from that, they're not very comfortable and don't look like quality footwear in person. Do yourself a favor - don't buy these.

I absolutley love this shoes. THe picture does not do the color of grey justice. I absolutely love the color. Its not a light grey its a rich beautiful grey. Beware these shoes fit tight in regards to width until you wear them for a day or two. After that, they are amazingly comfortable. I will be purchasing exact same shoe in black very soon. Also, as recommended by others, order 1/2 size smaller than you would typically wear. I was skeptical at this at first, but with easy returns, I decided to follow the review advice. Its a perfect fit length wise, just remember, they are tight at first but break in quick and easy and are my favorite pair of dress shoes. I wear them all day, at least twice per week.
