What are the dimensions of the scoop? I would like to leave it in my ice tray

OA length is approx. 8-1/2"; the "bowl" is approx. 5-1/2" long and also 2" deep at the back of the scoop. I find it perfect for daily use, such as adding four or five ice cubes to a drink or similar uses. I like the size, and the black rubber over-molding that covers the handle and cups/supports the bowl provides a nice grip. I have small hands and this fits perfectly in hand for my needs; someone with large hands may find a larger scoop is easier to hold and use. The handle itself is approx. 3-1/8" long. These are also sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond stores, so you could try out the size and grip at BB&B before you purchase. I've had mine for about eight (8) years now, and I recommend it to anyone who needs a small-to-medium-sized scoop to leave in the ice tray of your refrigerator-freezer. Long-term storage in the freezer section does not seem to affect it. For reference, I keep my freezer section at 6 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is the product made of?

Some kind of plastic. I have two and the are both in freezers. They don't frost or crack

looking for 1 cup scooper for rice bin would this be any good?

I didn't have an open box of rice, but the scoop held just a little over one cup of small dried beans. The scoop itself measures 8 1/2 inches from end of handle to tip of scoop. It is 3 1/4 inches at its greatest width. If your bin can hold this size of scoop, I think you would be very happy with it. I use it for my ice cube bin and it works very well. I am pleased with it. Hope this helps.
