This is not a good ladder handrail very flimsy don’t waste your money. **Q: What is the height from bottom step bottom to top step? I know it is not 81". Less than that. But what is it?** A: I would say without measuring, approximately 44 to 45 inches.I have a 48 in deep pool, the steps fall just below edge of pool. **Q: Can you remove the handrails?** A: Yes you can. The handrails provide support getting in and out of the pool if you elect to enter the pool that way. **Q: Do these steps go all the way to the bottom of the pool** A: These steps set on the bottom of the pool ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to put together! Very sturdy! All fasteners needed are included. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 13, 2024* The stairs came on time and perfectly described! There were a couple items in the box that I thought I forgot to put on, but this particular one comes with parts for a couple different applications, so don't panic if you have left over parts, too, lol! Directions were easy to follow and once I got it together I just placed it in the pool so it could fill with water. (I didn't use sand). For us, a 4X4 (I think 24" long) piece of wood was perfect to put under the support arms (that face away from the pool at the bottom of the ladder hand-rails when you are entering the pool, the support arms that you secure to the deck of your pool) because we have weird rails on our above ground pool, so we could only lower them so far. The 4X4 fit perfectly. I secured the wood to the deck, and secured the support arms to the 4X4. Works perfectly for a family of four and has stayed in place and doesn't wobble. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much easier than a ladder. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 30, 2026* Definitely easier to climb than traditional above ground pool ladders. Pretty easy to assemble. We did fill w pea gravel.Railings are a little wobbly. They serve the purpose tho. ### ⭐ Poor design. Won't stay together@ *by on Reviewed in the United States May 19, 2026* Worse steps we have ever had! We bought them because they had great reviews, but you can't always trust reviews. Yes they were easy to assemble. Yes they were sturdy, for about 15 minutes! These steps have no real mechanical way of holding them together. Molded pegs on the steps slide into the holes in the sidewalls and then you drive these caps over the ends of the pegs to "secure" them. Looks good, sounds good, however it doesn't hold them together good once the steps are in the water. A few times in and out, up and down, and the caps pop off and the steps start to separate from the sidewalls. We tried driving them on and pressing them in with a cabinet clamp. Useless! I would not recommend these. Now im stuck with them. ## Frequently Bought Together - Blue Wave Easy Pool Step Above Ground Swimming Pool Step to Deck - Resilia Stay-Put Swimming Pool Ladder Mat - Non-Slip, Wide Ribbed, Protective Pad, 36 Inches x 36 Inches, 0.125 Inch Thick, Powder Blue - Easy Step Weight System for Above Ground Easy Pool Steps --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.dk/products/76720307-blue-wave-easy-pool-steps-for-above-ground-pools](https://www.desertcart.dk/products/76720307-blue-wave-easy-pool-steps-for-above-ground-pools) --- *Product available on Desertcart Denmark* *Store origin: DK* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
