I spent ages researching the different vlogging cameras as needed something that was durable and quality was good. After doing some research, it seemed that this was the one people recommended so I purchased. Now for my honest review, I absolutely love it. The battery life is fantastic as I’ve take it out on adventures away where I’ve been able to use it for a day plus more without having to worry about battery life. The stability features and tracking is a bonus because it’s great for what I needed which was creating content as well as my vlogs. The high quality images and video results speak for themselves. Only thing I have to say is I wish I bought it sooner. If you are in doubt then don’t be as worth every penny!

The twistable 2-inch OLED screen is easily one of my favourite features because flipping it into native vertical shooting mode makes grabbing clips for social media effortless. Inside, that 1-inch CMOS sensor punches way above its weight class compared to phone cameras, especially in low light where noise usually ruins shots. I have been running mine with a Black Mist filter attached, and it softens up the highlights to give everything a really soft, cinematic look. If you like editing your own footage, shooting flat in D-Log M gives you plenty of dynamic range to colour grade in post. The mechanical gimbal keeps movement smooth even when walking fast, but here is a big pro tip regarding sound. The built-in stereo mics are fine for basic background audio, but if you pair the camera directly with wireless DJI Mics, it turns this into a killer pocket-sized interview setup. The camera connects straight to the transmitters without needing extra receivers or messy cables, which saves a ton of setup time on location. If I have one caveat, it is that you cannot cheap out on memory cards. Because the camera pushes high bitrates for features like 4K 120fps slow-mo, budget microSD cards will cause buffer errors and freeze up mid-recording. You really need a fast V30 UHS-I Speed Grade 3 card, like a SanDisk Extreme Pro or Lexar Silver, to keep up. Also, if you are upgrading from an older generation, keep in mind none of the Pocket 2 accessories will fit this body, so you are buying into a fresh ecosystem. However it will transfer over to the pocket 4 should you ever upgrade. Battery life easily gets me through a full day of intermittent shooting, and the quick charge is fast, topping up to 80% in about 18 minutes over USB-C. You can even keep it running off a portable power bank while recording so you never hit a wall during long events. For anyone wanting high-end B-roll and quick video clips without dragging a heavy camera bag around, this thing has exceeded my expectations! Low light performance is also good.

Fantastic little camera. I’ve read a lot about them and haven’t been disappointed. The only thing to be wary of is you have to be careful when it’s in its case that the camera head doesn’t spin around as the lens becomes exposed and could possibly scratch. Other than that this is a great purchase

I mainly bought the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for recording videos, and for that it has been excellent. The biggest advantage is simply how small and practical it is. On holidays or family days out, I can put it in a small bag or pocket and actually carry it around all day, rather than deciding a bigger camera is too much effort. The stabilisation is probably what makes the biggest difference compared with casually filming on a normal camera. Walking videos look much smoother, which is especially useful when you are moving around attractions, travelling or trying to record a toddler who never stays still. The rotating screen also makes it quick to switch between filming what is in front of you and recording yourself. For photos I would still prefer a dedicated camera or sometimes my phone, but for video this is the device I am much more likely to actually take with me. It is not cheap, but the combination of size, stabilisation and video quality makes it one of those products that is genuinely useful rather than something that stays at home because it is too bulky.

I have a small YouTube Channel I run as a hobby but have had about 1.5 million views and make about £1000 a year from, it’s just a hobby and sometimes I go months without uploading. I do like photography and videography and am forever buying new cameras and lenses. I love my current ZVE1 which is almost £2000 and I also have about £2500 of lenses for that. As you’d expect the video from that is fantastic. But I wanted something very small for pick up and go video. Something that I call ‘frictionless’, it takes no effort to take it anywhere, switch it on, set it up and get creating. I also wanted something for Abu Dhabi, having found out these Middle Eastern countries have a strange fear of ‘professional’ cameras but are quite happy for you to film away on mobile phones or very small cameras. No it makes no logical sense but that’s what they are like. Anyway, queue the Pocket 3. All I can say is wow. I’d go as far to say it’s the best piece of imaging engineering and design, of the last decade. Totally frictionless. Flip a screen and it’s on in a second and ready to go. Get the microphone and that syncs up immediately. The menus are simple and limited but just enough. The image quality is as good as you could ever expect from a ‘1 inch’ (marketing term) sensor. It for example easily beats the sensor in the ZV1ii which costs almost twice as much. Low light is also surprisingly good. The standard picture profile (turn sharpness down to -2, noise reduction to -1 and exposure compensation to -0.3) is excellent and not far off Sony S-Cinetone with a bit more colour. In fact if I mix and match footage I’ll probably match the S Cinetone footage to this. This camera destroyed the market for the likes of the ZV1ii for videography. Even as a single content creator things like the tracking feature, just double tap on your face and put the camera on a £20 selfie stick tripod and it makes it look like someone is filming you. Takes 1 second to set up and get going. And the uncropped 4k 120fps, just great. It’s the quality combined with the frictionless and ease of setup and use, which means that time and again, I’m reaching for this rather than my camera and lens setup which cost 5x the amount. DJI must be one of the greatest companies for innovation and engineering on the planet currently.

I really love this little action camera. It’s super easy to use and very hands-on. Everything feels simple and intuitive, so you don’t need a lot of time to figure it out. It’s small and practical, which makes it easy to carry around, and I like how customizable it is. It’s easy to plug in, connect accessories, and adjust settings depending on what you’re filming. The image and video quality are honestly impressive for such a small camera. Photos look great and videos come out very clear and smooth. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to film videos or even just take pictures. It’s a great little action camera.

Se cercate uno strumento che unisca portabilità estrema e qualità video professionale, siete nel posto giusto. Ecco perché, secondo me, batte ancora qualsiasi smartphone: Sensore da 1 Pollice: È il vero cuore della macchina. Anche in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione (ristoranti, passeggiate serali), il rumore digitale è quasi assente e i colori rimangono naturali. La profondità di campo (il bokeh) è reale, non software, e si vede. Stabilizzazione Meccanica: A differenza degli smartphone che usano ritagli digitali (croppando l'immagine), qui c'è un gimbal a 3 assi fisico. Il risultato è una fluidità "da film" anche mentre si corre o si cammina velocemente. Display Ruotabile OLED: Il meccanismo a scatto per passare dalla ripresa orizzontale a quella verticale (perfetta per TikTok/Reels) è geniale e velocissimo. Lo schermo da 2 pollici è luminoso e molto responsivo. Messa a Fuoco (ActiveTrack 6.0): Non perde un colpo. Puoi agganciare il tuo volto e muoverti liberamente: la fotocamera ti seguirà con una precisione chirurgica. Ottima anche la modalità "Product Showcase" per chi fa recensioni di oggetti. Audio Sorprendente: I tre microfoni integrati catturano un suono pulito e direzionale, riducendo bene il rumore del vento. Se prendete la Creator Combo, il microfono DJI Mic 2 incluso si connette istantaneamente senza cavi. Piccoli appunti: Non è una Action Cam: Ricordate che non è impermeabile e il gimbal è delicato. Se dovete fare snorkeling o downhill estremo, meglio una DJI Action. Batteria: Dura circa 2 ore di ripresa effettiva, ma la ricarica rapida è miracolosa (arriva all'80% in circa 16 minuti). Conclusione: È la fotocamera che porti ovunque perché non ingombra.
