Probiotic Yoghurt - Ideal Device
Making your own probiotic yoghurt is definitely the way to go. This has 8 pots, so you have 8 chances of getting yoghurt without separation (or at least that's my thoughts on it). This device, allows the temperature to be set (36 or 37 degrees for probiotic yogurt) , and then you have 5 seconds to alter time - right up to 36 hours. If you're thinking of making probiotic yoghurt, you're in for a treat. It's the best tasting yoghurt you'll come across and it's great for your health.

Do not buy
Upon delivery tested unit which leaked all over my worktop. Found that the fermentation bath had a crack in the plastic which could let water contact the electrics - very dangerous. Also the packaging looked like it had been unpacked before? Returned immediately and received a refund.

Just as good as more expensive machines
For the price I paid, this does the job well. Setting the time and temp is a bit fiddly and initially I thought it didnt work, but I persevered, pressing the buttons in different orders and eventually got there. The first batch was over done, so the next time I added water around the jars and went a couple of degrees down and the yoghurt was perfect. The glass jars are great although one burst on first use, so now I am more careful with them as they are not terribly robust.

brilliant value
This yoghurt maker is excellent value for money. It looks and performs like models that cost much more, with precise temperature and timer controls that make it easy to get perfect results every time. The build quality is solid, the glass jars are easy to clean, and the 2L capacity is ideal for families. After a few tries, I’ve been making creamy, delicious yoghurt consistently—definitely worth it!

Not impressed
Don’t buy it for probiotic yogurt fermentation yogurt. Temperature fluctuates every 2 hours and gets hot beyond your desired temperature….. And delivery takes 10/12 days

Good quality, simple to use
Nice looking and good quality. Temp and time adjustments work well but still best to check the temp of the yoghurt with a food thermometer if using sensitive bacteria. Took a few extra days to arrive but all intact and well packed.

Gets too warm - but it controllable
In theory its a great little machine and it is working, too well. Both times to date have not been successful and on the 2nd attempt i decided to check out the milk temperature as it was smelling sweet?. Set to 40 degrees for 36 hrs turn out the milk was 59.8 degrees and had burned in the base hense the sweet smell, this after 24 hrs. Everything had separated. This timing and temp is from William davis - Super gut book. so i am going to have to work out the temp adjustment to compensate on the next try, other than that its going to have to be returned. Edit Carried out a full day of temp testing with just water in both the container and as a bain Marie. It was very consistent in its discrepancies that being set to 40 it was 42 in the container and 40 .5 I tbe bain marie water. This difference was consistent at 36 and 38 degrees settings. So it would seem you definitely need water around the yogurt in the container. Need to set it a degree or two lower than you require. What I did notice though was with the water in the outer section the condensation is greater and found right above the control panel. No idea if it's getting in. Now to make yogurt
