I realize in these reviews one is supposed to talk only about the product proper but, really, there's not much to talk about. I put it in, it worked, and continues to work very well. The thing to talk about is the actual process of replacement. I got the set with the included tools because, among the multiple sets of screwdriver bits I've collected over the years, I didn't have a tri-wing driver of the correct size. Even so, the included spudger and pry tools were enormously helpful. Slightly less helpful were the included tweezers, which needed to be smaller. I followed the detailed instructions posted on $(ANOTHER_WEB_SITE). Disassembly was cake, although it's important to keep the tri-wing driver perpendicular and firmly engaged, or you risk rounding out the screw head. Putting it all back together, however, proved somewhat challenging. By far the most difficult part was reconnecting a cable from the mid-frame. It's flat, it's thin, it's *very* springy, and wants to go everywhere except where you want. It took a fair bit of patience and no small amount of luck to re-insert it and secure the connector. Once reassembled, however, I booted up the console, went to Settings, re-calibrated the joycon, and now it deflects and re-centers perfectly. If there's any actual difference in resistance or feel, I haven't noticed it.
