Review: Great for Ice Baths and Drain Plug Size is NOT an Issue! - I ordered the 150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank since I could purchase it cheaper than the 100 gallon version at the time of my order. I must say the thing is SOLID! I was leery after reading the review by Ken Preston regarding the inability to drain the water away as the drain plug is not a standard size. I was happy to find out that the drain plug is threaded on the outside AND the inside! (Possibly a change made after 2017?) The interior female part of the drain takes a 1 1/4 inch male fitting perfectly. I purchased an adaptor to size down from 1 1/4 inches to 3/4 inch. It worked perfectly! I then attached a ball valve and a hose adapter. Now I can attach my 3/4 inch garden hose and drain my tank far from where it sits. All parts were easy to find at my local Home Depot. The setup works great for me! I am very happy with the quality of the tank, the delivery time, and the additional cover I purchased to keep my tank from gathering leaves from my neighbors trees. At my height (5'9") I can sit in the tank and straighten my legs. The slope of the tank makes it comfortable to sit upright while leaning back on the tank wall.
