Does the non stick poaching cups lose their ability for eggs not to stick over time?

I have only had mine for a short time, however the non stick coating is made of a quality material and if you hand wash them after each use I believe they should last for quite some time. I do spray a little Pam on mine before using. The eggs slide very easy either way.

Can this be used to poach only one or two eggs at a time, rather than having to use all four egg cups?

Yes, you can poach just one or two eggs at a time. Make sure you keep the empty cups in their space so you don’t get extra steam over the eggs you are cooking. The extra moisture will make a bad egg. By the way, this is the best poacher I have ever used...Enjoy!

What size is the pan for the 4 egg versus the 6 egg?

I have the 4 egg pan which is 8.5 inches across. The 6 egg pan is described as being 8.5 as well. I assume this is possible because the egg cups are closer together. It looks that way in the picture too. Hope this helps. By the way I love mine.

Can you only use this to poach eggs or can you use it as a pan?

You can also use the pan as a small sauce pan. It is stainless steel though so you have to be careful not to burn anything in it as it could be hard to clean. It is does not have a non stick coating in anything other than the removable egg poacher inserts.
