How would you rate the mic?

I've been using the Logitech C920 for a year and a half now to Skype with family in Australia (I'm in the US). They tell me the sound quality is quite good (very clear, no hissing, skipping, crackling, etc.). I'm not sure why one reviewer said you'd need a separate mic. Both the C920 and the C922x have dual built-in mics to capture sound in stereo. Just a note on the C920's video image -- I'm usually Skyping late at night in the US (which is morning in Australia), and it's quite dark in my bedroom. What is the Field of View for this camera?

Base field of view is 78 degrees. Apple FaceTime HD is about 70 degrees, for comparison. The Logitech 900 series seems to all be 78 degrees. I like that setting in general for conference rooms. You can zoom in to about 60 degrees using the Logi Tune software (free download).

This webcam can work for camtasia 8 to recording screen with Windows 7, 32 bit ?

Camtasia 8 does NOT need a camera, it is capable of recording the screen directly.

Will this work for an old dell desktop?

Works well with my old Dell, good picture and sound. Use mine for Skype my Dell computer makes me sound like Darth Vader.

Webcam working fine and supportive seller

I bought this webcam yesterday and got it on time, now let me share my experience with the camera quality, its up to the mark and well usefull for creating lectures and gaming streams, need some tweaks in softwares setting to make it perfect to reach the expectation level.
