Review: Don't waste your money, Junk. - I've had it for almost five years, why review it now? Because you don't have lightning storms everyday and when you do you either don't have your camera or this unit. Now that being said I've attempted to capture lightning about 25 times, ask me how many lightning bolts I've captured, one yes, only one. The unit will activate and nine out of ten times it will snap away and take anywhere from 1 to 35 shots at a time. I don't have a clue why, it's not set on time lapse. Just tonight I had 188 shots taken automatically. Not one with any lightning bolts. Many times I have actually had to turn the unit off to stop it from triggering the shutter. I believe others have experienced this as well. Don't waste your money. Review: There are better on the market - There are better on the market. I ended up buying another direct from the maker, forget the name at the moment. And it is far superior. This will get you shots. But it'll miss you shots.

A great little device to capture lightning strikes on your DLSR!
Have only used this a couple of times in dusk or after dark. The sensitivity knob is very sensitive and nonlinear (IMHO). Once sensitivity is dialed in, it does a fairly good job of catching Lightning strikes and triggering my Nikon D7000. I do get a lot of rejects, mostly because the Lightning is not within the view of the camera sensor. In reality, I've tried manual triggering the camera to get good lightning strokes, and this device gives me 20 times better results. Plus, you Just set it up on a tripod and can set and watch it work. I'd recommend to a friend, and would buy it again.

Very versatile
Endless opportunities for creative shots! Lightning shots are easy, but the laser....awesome! Driving the family nuts with it by now.

Don't buy it!
Does not work at all. The indicator light flashes but it will not trigger the shutter. I recommend looking at a different brand.
