Readable first Asterix book
I read many Asterix books but read this very first book in the series only recently. The features of Asterix, the Druid and particularly Obelix look different from the subsequent volumes. This volume shows the first encounters with Romans and also the first time the Romans feel the effect of the magic potion of the Gauls. Some subsequent volumes are better in terms of story and adventure, but still this is quite readable.

Excellent quality
Paper and print quality are both excellent and as expected from the original Asterix comic book series - buy without hesitation if you’re a fan or a new reader. Hope to build the entire collection over time. In hand, this takes you well back in time!

All time childhood favourite
Asterix is my all time childhood favourite. This is perhaps the first Asterix book published. The characters drawn in this Asterix book is somewhat different from other Asterix books which published later on. But nevertheless it doesn’t compromise the quality, description and story line of Asterix books. I love all of them.

Children love it.
Renewal Goscinny the writer has illustrated a great comic character of Asterik and Obelix. Children 6+ would definitely love the hilarious drawings, remarks of the Gauls portrayed therein. 5 out of 5 Mark's. The product came in good packing. Had the value been a little less for online purchase of comics, I would have opted to purchase the whole series.

The quality of the translation did not loose the humour from the original French text.
Excellent,. The translators did a great job. We intend to give it to my oncologist because he prescribed his own"potion" to help heal my throat after radiation.
