How does the Reverse Taper shape improve putting performance?

A larger diameter in the lower hand reduces its ability to rotate or tweak the face during the stroke. The Reverse Taper builds this mechanical advantage into the grip itself — suppressing wrist action automatically, so you don't have to fight it.

Who is the Reverse Taper best suited for?

Reverse Taper is ideal for golfers with an active lower hand — a common cause of pushes and inconsistent face angles. Also strong for players who've tried standard oversized grips; the inverted geometry directly targets lower-hand dominance.

How does Reverse Taper affect performance on shorter versus longer putts?

Wrist suppression is most valuable on short putts, where hand manipulation causes the most damage. Reviewers who struggled there report immediate improvement after switching. On longer putts, the shoulder-driven stroke also benefits distance control.

What is the surface feel and material of the Reverse Taper?

Reverse Taper is made from tacky rubber — firm enough to track the grip's position through the stroke, and secure without requiring a tight hold. Reviewers describe it as grippy and confidence-inspiring before the first putt.

Is Reverse Taper easy to install, and are there any fit considerations?

Reverse Taper installs like any standard putter grip with tape and solvent. Note: it may be shorter than some conventional grips — confirm hand placement before installing. Golf Pride's installation guide covers the details step by step.
