It came with a fully charged battery, even though the product info says the batteries aren't included. It was easy to install and set up. It does not work with Alexa or any other smart home integration, and it doesn't send notifications when the device is triggered. It does keep records of the device being triggered, but I haven't figured out a way for it to result in actual notifications. It seems like it is more designed for "if/then" style commands, such as turning on a light when a door is opened. And if you want "if/then" commands to happen based off of the sensor, then the other products must be GoveeLife brand. None of that is a problem for me as that is exactly what I wanted this sensor for, and I have other Govee Life products. I bought this for my walk-in closet. I have it connected to a smart bulb so that when I open the closet door, it turns on, and it turns off when I close the door. I really like the GoveeLife app and integration. It's super easy to control all of your products with one app, and Alexa integration is a snap, as well (for products that will work with Alexa). Review: Works well ..
