Clarks Women's Charlten BayAnkle Boot

Love these boots. They are for narrow feet but once worn in are so comfortable. Have these now in brown and black and both work equally well with trousers or dresses. Narrow on the ankle and can be a struggle to get on initially but good Clarks value with a bit of wear.

I've been wearing the same pair of Clark's black boots for five years & only had to resole them once but was worried they might finally give up the ghost this winter. I ordered these after trying them on in a shop and since they arrived, I've worn nothing else. They fit brilliantly, are warm and snug, look stylish and understated and feel well-made and sturdy. They've been comfortable since the moment I put them on - unusual because new shoes always give me blisters for weeks. I thought the elastic panels might make them feel flimsy but my feet and ankles feel well-protected. Couldn't be happier and for £40, I'm delighted!

These can be very comfortable but they are sized on the small and narrow side. I bought a size 7 (my normal size) which were too narrow and pinched my toes - I had to send them back! I got a size 7.5 instead and these fit really well. However, if you have wider than average feet you may still find these boots uncomfortable. I wear these as everyday work-shoes: they normally last me ~1 year of heavy use (this is my second pair). If you get the sizing right, they are comfortable, waterproof, lightweight, and well-made boots. One draw-back is that they are not particularly warm in winter and are too tight to allow the wearing of very thick socks. I was initially put off by the absence of laces - don't be! These are so easy to slip on and off and you never need worry that your laces have come undone and are being dragged through all the dirty street puddles (believe me, this is a game-changer). Visually, these are very attractive boots: sleek, well-shaped, real leather, and a lovely midnight blue (almost but not quite black).

The fit is a touch small and I can not wear socks but perfect to wear them with tights. Maybe after wearing them for a bit the leather will soften. At the moment they are a little bit difficult to put on because the back of the shoe is hard, however using a shoe horn solves the problem. The leather has a lovely feel and the colour is perfect with summer jeans. I am very happy with my purhase, I wear them as soon as they arrived and even they feel a little hard they did not left a blister and my feet was very comfy.

SUCH lovely comfortable shoes. This 'Orinoco' range is excellent. The different colours vary in softness - I ordered the Burgundy slip on boots (Club) and they are very soft and supple, and I also have a pair of the Brown Orinoco Spice (lace up fronts) and although these were very stiff when brand new, they softened up very well. Durable leather which will last. I have a range of boots but my Clarks boots are always the most comfortable and the quality is excellent, in the design, leather, and stitching. One of the best ranges to come from Clarks in the past 3/4 years.

I ordered these, expecting them to be like the black Orinoco Boots I bought 2.5 years ago and adored so much because they were so comfortable. The soles were extremely flexible and I felt like I was wearing cushions. Unfortunately, these ones were nothing like those boots. The design is the same, but there is little comfort in these ones. I kept them thinking that they will get comfier with it, but that didn't happen! The soles are very stiff and make your feet hurt after only a few hours of wearing them. Of course they are okay when you wear them while sitting on your desk or if you commute by car, but if you commute by other means of transport and have to walk, I would suggest looking elsewhere, because they can make your feet hurt and also help the creation of calluses. They are good for snow though, because they are not slippery, but then they get wet easily and even your socks get wet, so perhaps they are not a good choice for snow after all...

Delighted to have found a replacement pair of these classic Chelsea boots online after my first pair were worn out after two years of pretty much non-stop wear. Practical, hard-wearing, gorgeous matt black soft leather. They're comfortable and super-versatile - look good with jeans, trousers and short or long skirts - love them, both for work and weekends. Light to pack, a boon when you're going away because they go with everything. No zips or laces,great to just kick off and pull on when you're wanting no fuss at the gym or the pool or in a hurry in the mornings. I usually wear a 5.5, so anyone thinking of getting some should probably go up half a size. Am thinking of getting another pair to put away for two years' time. Classic design means they'll never look dated. I'd be lost without them.

I have returned one pair already because it looked like a person with a large foot had tried on one of mine and stretched it before I received them. Now I have returned a second pair because I have given up! After one fairly long walk, once, the first time I wore them, these boots stretched out and went all bumpy and horrible! Exactly like the photo shown in one of the 1* ratings on here. I think some non-Clarks counterfeits could be among the stock of these boot styles. Initially I thought: They are beautiful but narrow, which is fine for me, but it means I was sent a slightly stretched pair which had been tried on by someone with a wider foot and now they look uneven.. The first Black size 7 I ordered were in PERFECT contition but I couldn't tell if they were real leather and could withstand UK winter weather so I returned them and asked in the Q&A if they were definitely real leather... they are - 'nubuck' to be precise! So, regretting my decision to return them that afternoon, I immediately re ordered another Black size 7.... sadly, although the soles are clean and label intact, the left foot has definitely been stretched and developed a crease from someone with a wider foot having tried it on and bent their foot in it. With such a sleek, slim fitting style, the wear is immediately noticeable. I have taken a leap of faith in re ordering another Black size 7 pair while I return these... Looking at the reviews it seems people either LOVE keep these or return them for being to narrow so I really hope I get a fresh - totally unworn, not even 'tried on pair' FINGERS CROSSED! (I have since updated this as things progressed)

Quality and comfortable!

個人的に足の幅が狭く甲も低いので、なかなか合う靴がないのですが私の幅狭い足にはぴったりでした。普通より幅が狭いと思うので、幅広の人は履きにくいかもしれません。

These boots are so hard to put on and then take off. They are so cute but not worth the buy.
