I love the long-lasting scent, the moles in my yard hate it! I use this for my showers, but also use it to deter garden and yard pests due to its long-lasting scent.

I guess I didn't realize it was only for 2 back a of soap

When Dial discontinued making its deodorant bath soap with my favorite scent (tropical escape), I was forced to find a satisfactory replacement. After a great deal of shopping, smelling, and comparing, I remembered from years ago, Irish Spring. As I'm half-Irish, I thought I would give it a try., and bingo! I found my replacement. The scent is pleasant, but not overwhelming, and without that cloying sweetness I often found in my shopping. I do wish the bar was a little larger. Bottom line: unless Dial begins producing it's Tropical Escape again, I am totally sold on IRISH SPRING.

I do not bathe with this soap. I shave pieces of it into a small plastic bag that I have poked holes in, and then I place the pungent smelling bag where I don't want something-- like rabbits. Very effective.

Used it in a couple places to repel deer from plants they were devouring. One was a little magnolia tree they kept eating the leaves off of. I put a piece of a bar in a small net bag and hung it in the tree, it seemed to work and I've noticed no eaten leaves. Another was a potted plant that the deer had eaten half down. I put several shavings off a bar in the pot with the plant. Seemed to work, the deer are not chewing on the plants but the soap seems to have hindered the plant growth. The best process seems to be to put the soap in the general area of the plant but not where it can dissolve into the soil.
