post anchor is merely one great application
sturdy, great value for the money, even multi-tasks as easily accessible door stop. I may decorate it if not all used for posts. I really do enjoy not having to stoop for a door stop and it holds the door in place beautifully. good sturdy weight but easily wielded. I have the first one I ever purchased still in the ground holding a post in all the weather elements since 2019 without failure. Strong recommendation for product and vendor.

Saves time, cash and no back ache from digging
These post brackets are a great fast and easy way to put up a mailbox. Usually with this kind of chore ahead of me I would rather be in hell with a broken back, until I ran across these post brackets. Its worth its weight in gold. I had a shorter piece of 4x4 maybe 12'' long. laid across post bracket tapped it in ground with a shall sledge hammer. once it was securely in ground I placed the 4x4 in the bracket and with a few good whacks it was in the ground making sure it was straight as it went in. Once the base was all the way to ground level loosened the nut and bolt pull out the short 4x4 replaced it with the 42" post tightened bolt and attached mailbox all done in under 20 min. ( that included cutting the 4x4 ) No having to drag out a post hole digger mixing concrete and waiting for it to set. This is the 3rd time using these for different projects and once in the ground they are super solid and secure.

Spikey Metal Post Thingy
The set of metal post bases is a nice, temporary solution for installing a fence without having to dig a bunch of holes, and setting posts in concrete. This is a low cost alternative, but would not likely last as long as a traditional concrete base. The metal appear to be a little thinner than what you can buy from Home Depot or Lowe's, but the set is way more affordable than what the chain stores are charging. When setting the spike: remember to thoroughly wet the area, particularly if you have clay dominant soils. You can also use a long auger attachment to a hammer drill to help set the spike initially. You can use a wood block, and a small sledgehammer to finish setting the post holder. I recommend using the base to pre-drill the carriage bolt holes in your 4"x4" treated posts before you set the spikes. Don't forget to treat the bottom of the wood post, or at the cut to seal off any area that could absorb water.

They work well for lawn posts
I live in a rural like community with no sidewalks. We all have different methods for inhibiting people from parking on our lawns. One favorite method is to line a series of 4x4 posts sunken into the ground at the front of your lawn. I decided to use these ground spikes rather than dig holes. That way, I can get three 32" posts from one 8 foot (96 inch) 4x4. Luckily, I installed the ground spikes after a few days of rain so that the ground was softer. But I still definitely needed a sledge hammer to get these spikes hammered down (with a short piece of 4x4 inserted in the spike). And that's a good thing because I want them in solidly and they do feel solid. The 4x4 posts fit perfectly and bolt in solidly with the provided bolts and nuts. I like that these 32" ground spikes are longer than some other ground spikes that were only 24" long.

Little flimsy but it works well.
Used to install a mailbox. It has worked well and was easier than digging and pouring concrete 🤷. It does allow my mailbox to move a little bit though. It can flex side to side but as long as no one is twisting on it, I'd say it should last a while 🤨. I'd recommend being careful when you drive it into the ground. Make sure you get it square to whatever you're aligning with. I wasn't real careful and it's slightly turned. I could have pulled it back out and tried again but didn't feel like it 😏. Lastly, I coated the hardware with some black spray paint just to prevent corrosion and gave the base another layer of paint after it was installed.

Steel is too thin
14 gauge steel is too thin. I got this in the ground, but the impact of repeated hammering to drive this into the ground caused the steel to bend which puts the post out of alignment. If I was using this for a fence, I would return it since I would not be able to attach fence boards in a straight line. Since I am using this for a mailbox, the angle is less important. I would guess it's off by about 30 degrees from being parallel to the road. The first 2 feet into the ground were fine, but it really started to warp in the last foot when I had to hammer much harder. If your soil is sandy maybe this would be better, but for my heavy clay, it didn't work as well as expected. it is still much quicker than digging a hole, but not a better end result as you have no means of adjusting or aligning it once you start driving it into the ground.

Went into the ground with ease

Not too bad, but in my case it was very difficult to keep them straight when pounding them down, they kept rotating slightly. Tried over and over and was never able to get it totally straight. End result was workable but less than perfect.

Not great quality. Bought on here because my local stores were out, almost double the price on Amazon. Multiple of them came warped and cracked off when put into the (soft) ground.

The shipping was on time and the product was exactly as described. The ground anchors worked just as expected.
