Would probably be faster with 2 people but absolutely easy enough to do it alone. The fireplace lights have 3 dimming settings and give off a nice glow. The heat function goes to 82 and keeps our entire living room warm/hot. The fire function has three different levels from bright to dim. The size is perfect (make sure you measure where you are placing it) because it is pretty big once put together. It is lightweight but not flimsy. It has all its functions even a remote to turn on from the comfort of your own chair/couch. One thing I do want to mention is the package itself does come in TWO boxes in separate orders. It was easy to set up with great instructions. Took about two hours total with one person putting it together. Overall, I recommend this mantel with cabinets.
