Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Adapter, 2022 Version

I have had this since January. At first it worked great, then the next month it did a blackout thing quite often where I would have to totally disconnect the bluetooth and re-pair it. However, in the past few months I have not had any issues at all with it. I had an iPhone 14 and recently upgraded to iPhone 17 and have had no issues. Easy to use and it connect to my iPhone within seconds of the car turning on. It's ready to go by the time I have my seatbelt buckled.

Update (11/24/2025). Changing my review to 1 star for below reasons. 1. Multiple times the car infotainment screen has gone blank, this includes displaying the map and the reverse camera. This got addressed only after I unplug and connect the adapter few times. 2. The MORE SERIOUS ISSUE - Upon using this device, due to excessive heat or for unknown reasons, the phone's motherboard is damaged and I had to reinstall the OS in my S22 Ultra (cost me 250$). The service person advised to start looking for a new phone as this phone cannot be relied for longer use. I will never recommend this anymore to anyone in future. I was looking for a wireless android auto adapter for my Hyundai pallisade 2022. The product is very sleek and performs good. There is no lag in map/youtube response. In the beginning (for a week) I noticed the phone was over heating whenever I was driving the car, it is not happening now (not sure of the reason). Challenge: Whenever I open my car door (even to pick something from the car) the phone bluetooth is connecting to the android auto and I am not able to disconnect it at all for few minutes. Overall I like the product and will definitely recommend.

Love it! Setup was very simple and straightforward. Now, I get in my car and Android auto automatically connects and starts playing my podcast from where it left off last time. I can now get Google maps up on the heads-up display in my 2022 Toyota Corolla without plugging the phone in. The only pain in the butt thing is that I need to shut off my VPN before getting in my car otherwise it won't connect. This is NOT a shortcoming of the adapter it's just a fact of life. I definitely recommend this product.

Have tried 5 different wireless adapters and this seems to be the best one so far. Even then it still has issues. But honestly they all have the same type of issues. Don't be fooled by the 5.8GHZ!, 2025 LATEST MODEL! or GOLD PLATED USB FOR FASTER SPEED. etc....Tried them also. First off this one has the best signal in my opinion. It disconnects way less than others. It still has connection issues though, but for me it always happens when my wife and I take turn driving our car. It seems to have issues trying to reconnect to her phone and mine and will disconnect and tell you take the usb adapter out and reconnect it. Then it works fine after that. Honestly they all seem to have this issue. But if you are the only driver, it shouldn't be much of an issue. Of course you may still have some connection issue. When I drive the car for a week by myself ( Usually 3-5 hours of driving a day), I probably get connection issues maybe 2-3 times in that week. Which may sound a lot but the others I've used will get connection issues 3 times a day. So I can deal with this one. Most days there is no lag in audio. Some days its very minor, maybe 0.3 seconds. Which doesn't sound a lot either but will be noticeable, especially switching music or surfing social media. The others I've tried had at least a 1sec audio lag, one even had almost 2 sec. So yeah, this one aint too bad. Again, most wireless adapters will have these issues no matter what, but this one seems to have it the least. And it is, in my opinion more reliable one than the others I've tried. If you want android auto or carplay that is seamless and have no connection issues whatsoever, stick to the cables. If you really want wireless, then this has been the better one I have found so far. 1 month in and I think I will keep this one. Also I drive a 2021 Sienna LE. Hope this helps.

Excellent, now I have wireless Android without pluggin in my phone. it is small, fits in the usb charger without interfering any other ports. First of all, I have 2021 Honda Insight with wired Android Auto, it works but needs to be plugged in , Last month I upgraded my phone (Oneplus 15 with Android ver 16) and got a magsafe compatible mount. I was hoping it would charge and connect to vehicle at the same time. I found out it would only be capable to charge , I was looking for a compatible wireless adapter and I gave it a shot. Results were amazing, it worked from the first setup. I would recommend users to connect to your car's Android auto with wire first and then set up this adapter. It is also capable to receive firmware update via its own web interface. I would suggest to check for updates time to time. In order to do that , make sure you have a desktop/laptop capable with wifi/and ethernet, so you can connect your computer trough ethernet to get internet and wifi connection to Carplay adapter. Once you connect, you can open a web browser and type its address , if any upgrade is avaiblae you can install it trough web interface. Now I have an other car and an Iphone to test carplay function.

After about 6 months it was hit or miss. Sometimes works, sometimes not. When it does it works well.

[Update July 2026: I’ve found that during longer drives, the adapter will sometimes disconnect for a minute - maybe rebooting ? I mostly drive shorter trips so not a big deal, but I’d take away half a star if I could.] My 2021 Outback has wired CarPlay. I didn't like having to plug in my phone every time I am in the car, especially for long drives where the phone is continuously being charged - so I purchased this adapter and it has been a great change. Setup, following the provided instructions, was really easy. Now, my phone stays in my pocket and it connects automatically to CarPlay when I start the car. All Subaru native CarPlay integration works, the sound quality on music playback (I use this often) is very good, and everything works just like when the phone is plugged in. Occasionally there is a several second delay while my phone connects to the adapter, but that's not really an issue for me. The convenience provided by this adapter makes it worth the price.

It works pretty reliably. Sometimes I have to unplug and replug it for it to recognize my phone. Sometimes the connection isn't great and the sound sputters. But in general it is so much better than using a cord. The charging cords are less reliable.
