Product description               The Rx Clear Shock Rx Clear MegaShock contains 73% calcium hypochlorite which produces 70% chlorine and is stronger than Super Shock. Due to the formulation of calcium hypochlorite, this product is similar to household bleach but will preserve its shelf life. MegaShock is a highly effective multi-purpose product that disinfects and cleans algae and controls algae, providing you with crystal clear water for a more enjoyable swimming experience. Add 1 pound bag per 10,000 gallons of water dosage If you are trying to kill algae, we recommend using two bags of shocks per 14,000 gallons until the algae dies. To determine the number of gallons of water in the pool, use the following formula: Rectangle = L x W x H x 7.5 Round = Diameter x H x 5.9 Oval = L x W x H x 5.9 Our mission statement Rx Clear strives to provide quality products for a safer, cleaner and more enjoyable swimming experience. Rx Clear provides clear water to suit your needs. BENEFITS Best Dilute the MegaShock with a bucket of water before spreading around the pool. **Q: What are the ingredients in the package?**
A: Don't know but it works great in my vinyl pool. Just make sure you run your filter when you put it in the pool.

**Q: Will this suffice for water purification in emergency situations? I understand you have to make sure you get basic Pool Shock with no additives...**
A: This stuff was old and rocky and didn’t do good on my pool.

**Q: Can this be used for sanitizing drinking water in proper dilution. I have the formula but the recommended product was Ultima which is unavailable.**
A: I don't think it's a good idea, I wouldn't try it.

**Q: is product safe for vinyl pools?**
A: I use it in my vinyl pool and it works great just run your pool filter when you use it.
