Didn't want to spend a grand on a longboard. This board is a wave-catching machine. Great for smaller surf. Caught wave after wave yesterday in 1-2 foot Florida surf. Lots of fun. Turns easily. If you don't expect killer performance, you can't go wrong with this board. Perfect first board to learn on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great beginner board for adults and kids *by J***T on October 5, 2020* Great beginner board to tackle to basics of surfing. This is a board that you can actually make progress on as a beginner like balance, paddling, popping up, and riding the wash. I’m a 38 year old man and just started surfing a month ago. I purchased this board as I read many reviews and all signs pointed to the 8’ Wavestorm as a great board. A month into surfing and I can confirm it is. I surf the outer banks almost everyday and although I am still figuring out body position and paddle technique, I am riding about 40% of the waves I go for. This board has helped me not get frustrated, as it is easier to paddle and pop up on than the traditional boards I see more advanced surfers on. If you think you will look like a noob out there on this board, you will. Just own it, and let people in the line know you are new and still learning, most likely they will tell you that they started on the same kind of board and will be there to help you out. Also, my 9 year old son uses this same board and is now able to paddle and stand up on a wave all by himself. Good board for me (a 200lb 38 year old) and my son (a 60lb 9 year old)!!
