The smaller the gauge, the thinner the strings are. Usually, people refer to them as "9s, 10s, 11s and sometimes 12s." That refers to the high E string (the smallest one) at 0.009mm thick, 0.10mm thick, 0.11mm etc... If you're a beginner, 9s will be the easiest to play, but you may be better off using 10s right from the start so you can build up some strength. But you don't want playing to be uncomfortable. To be honest, the best way to learn and to gain finger strength would be by playing acoustic guitar

Would the heavy ones work good on a hollow body guitar?

Yah, they should. Are you upping or changing gauge? If so the heavier gauge might throw off your guitar set up. I use the 11's or 12's in standard on everything from my tele to my acoustic, so they should sound and work well. Just make sure you're set up to handle whatever gauge you throw at it.

長持ちで良い弦です

とにかく長持ちです。毎日弾いても半年くらいは余裕で錆びないし切れない。音質については人によって好みがあると思いますが、私には十分良いものです。価格はノンコーティングよりも高いですが、長持ちなので結果としてお財布に優しいと思います。弦に強いこだわりがなく、毎日の練習で弦を交換するコストを下げたい人にはおすすめできます。

耐久性（サビ）に優れているギター弦

アーニーボール弦などでサビが速い人にはおすすめです。アンプを通したサウンドは悪くないです。好みの問題ですが悪くない弦だと思います。
