White Pony is the Deftones' third consecutive gold-selling album - and now there's a new, improved edition with an added track, the second single, "Back To School (Mini Maggit)," and even new cover art. One of modern rock's most respected groups, the Deftones go beyond the new heavy rock to bring together the accessible and dissonant, bombastic and vulnerable, aggressive and thoughtful, with a new White Pony Certified at 500 thousand units by the RIAA. (2/01) Review: Great Album, Great Vinyl Press - I'm one of those who considers this to be their best work. The vinyl press is also excellent quality. Review: I watch you change - My opinion on this album has changed with time at first I didn't liked it as much as Saturday night wrist, but as time passed this became my 2nd favorite after Koi no Yokan.

One of the best and most unique metal albums of this century
Deftones are a band that definitely aren't your typical radio metal band like a lot of people think of them as. Their music is simply beautiful and extremely refreshing. This album easily lives up to the hype of being the bands magnum opus. Back to School, probably the bands most controversial song, opens up (the reissue of) the album, and in my opinion it actually does so quite well. It sounds cool as hell and is a good way of saying goodbye forever to the bands nu metal influences and hello to the bands new, more experimental and alternative sound. Feiticeira is simply amazing, somehow being both brutal and beautiful at the same time. The comes Digital Bath, one of the most pretty songs I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. After this the album goes into a foray of different styles, such as the beautiful Knife Prty and Change (the bands most famous song), the sexy Passenger, the brutal Elite and Korea, the catchy RX Queen and Street Carp, the electro Teenager, and finally, the grand finale that is Pink Maggit. Another reason I enjoy having Back to School as the opener is that it makes Pink Maggit an even better finale; they bookend the album amazingly well. Overall, please buy this album if you want to hear a fresh take on the metal genre, and if you've never really given the Deftones a chance then please do. It's worth it.

Great quality press, incredible album, shipping from Amazon flawless.
Everything you'd want out of a shipment fro Amazon for Vinyl. Nice, packed well going above and beyond normal vinyl shipping standards. The vinyl pressing itself is great quality. Sounds amazing, unlike the subpar release of Diamond Eyes. The album is incredible and a must pick up for any Deftones fan. This guy is weird with Amazon when it comes to shipping time. I've had a preorder on Amazon for what felt like half a year, it just kept getting moved. Obviously that isn't on Amazon, but for the cheapest price on this, you will absolutely be waiting some time. A month at minimum. While you can snag this from several sellers, all over the internet including on Amazon for $40+, you can get it on sale under $25 when it's in stock if you're willing to wait. I'd absolutely snag it at the sub $25 price.

Good ...
.. clean sound. No warp. Niff said about the band. I do notice that the packaging for this was different than the Portishead Dummy I reviewed (which was warped) but I feel like that is more of a packaging/storage issue. None of that here.
