Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 1

There's honestly no need for me to review the story, it's amazing and you'll be hooked by the prologue. But quality-wise, the book itself is beautiful, mine came with no scratches or tears, and overall I'm very satisfied. I've read other reviews saying their copy came in damaged, but there was no problem with mine, so maybe the issue has been resolved. My only complaint is that I had preordered this item was back in October, and it was still late by one month. This is probably an issue with the distributer, but I would take the shipping date with a grain of salt.

Book came pretty quick! Already read it but needed a physical book for my collection. Comes with really nice art in it. Totally worth buying!

アニメ魔道祖師とドラマ陳情令で，原作者の墨香銅臭さんを知り，本作品についても興味を持ち，日本語訳を待ちきれず，英語版を購入しました。 世界観をつかむのと，登場人物を整理するために，アニメの紹介サイトを見てから読むと，わかりやすいと思います。 第一巻は， -ユジン山で次々に花嫁が誘拐される事件 -ゴビ砂漠にあるバンユエ国で人々が消えてしまう事件 が主な内容ですので，アニメの第一期の内容とほぼ同じかと思います。 サンランが，シュエ・リエンに指輪と銀のチェーンを渡して，姿を消すところで終わりました。 主人公のシュエ・リエンとサンランの関係，あざの少年の行方など，まだまだ謎だらけですが，壮大な話になりそうで，次巻も楽しみにしています。 ---追記--- 少しネタバレも含みますが，本を読むために役に立ちそうな情報を自分なりに整理してみました。 １．三つの世界 天界（ヘブン領） 神様が住み，働いている場所 トップはジュウ・ウ皇帝 鬼界（ゴースト領） ①スプリーム②ラス③マリース④ファースのランクがある。 トップはファ・チョン。ほかにもシュアン（ブラックウォーター）などのスプリームがいる。 人間界（モータル領） 人々が住んでいるところ ２．人物 -シュエ・リェン 800年ぶりに天界に昇る。 元王子。スピリチュアルパワーが無いので，だれかからの力を借りないといけない。ただ，ルオユェ（絹の包帯のようなもの）を使うことはできる。 -ナン・ファン シュエ・リェンを手伝いに来た天界の官僚。南東の武神ファン・シンの部下。ファン・シンは昔，シュエ・リェンの友だちだったらしい。 -フ・ヤオ シュエ・リエンを手伝いに来た天界の官僚。南西の武神ム・チンの部下。ム・チンは昔シュエ・リェンの部下だったらしい。 ３．気になる昔起こった出来事 -祭りの最中に，高い壁から落ちてきた子どもを王子シュエ・リェンが救った。 -黄河南のイニェン橋で，シュエ・リェンがゴーストをやっつけた。この後，天界に昇ることになる。 -シュエ・リェンの祖国シェンリーが，戦禍にみまわれ，また疫病もはやり国が亡くなってしまう。シュエ・リェンは，天界から追放される。 -再び天界に昇るも一線香時間で追放される。

L'animé étant magnifique, certains pourraient être rebutés par la version papier. Quelle erreur ! Le roman est une pépite, tout comme MDZ (précédent roman de l'auteure que je recommande également vivement, récemment traduit en français sous le titre Le Grand maître de cultivation démoniaque). Tout comme MDZ, les personnages, les liens entre eux sont complexes et tellement bien travaillés qu'on a l'impression de sentir l'emprunte de leur aura. Je ne suis pas très fan des romances en général mais ici l'histoire d'amour est si bien mêlée à l'histoire épique, tragique du héros qu'on se laisse entrainer avec plaisir. Il faut continuer à lire les prochains tomes, certains passages (pour ne pas dire beaucoup) feront hurler votre petit coeur...

It’s Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s story, so I had expectations it would be very good, and it is! I loved the slow development (still happening!) between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, thus all the plot constructions and what happened in the world around their era. The details here and there in this world, in every minimum, build this complex and compelling story it became to me. And I love to hear Xie Lian’s wisdom, as he learned a lot through his lifetimes! Xie Lian’s gentleness thus Hua Cheng’s carelessness (if I can say so) complement each other somehow, and I find it amazing that in this book, at first, the story seems more focused on the interpersonal development although it still calls out to all other aspects at the same time (world actualities, friendship relations, political relationships -but in the heavens-, mundane living, etc). I felt very peaceful in the reading. In Mo Dao Zu Shi, we see characters still learning through their mistakes, while in this book I felt the approach was like: “What if you had lived lifetimes enough to have already learned about the world’s stigmas and misconceptions, and now lives focused on being yourself, living your own gentleness, etc, your own qualities and darknesses in never ending self-knowledge?” This is very interesting to me, personally, as I am invested in reflecting on the higher picture of happenings and ways of living, and I relate to Xie Lian so much that I feel I would love to have a conversation with him, if he existed hahaha! These wisdoms he captured through his self transformations over 800 hundred years brought him closer to himself, in a deeper existence of what being him, Xie Lian, as an immortal live, really is. It seems like life becomes much more of an appreciation of good things, inclusiveness to the ‘bad’ ones, as it’s all a matter of learning through time, and being yourself in a higher perspective than ‘only me’, but rather ‘us’, while it all. He is very inclusive, or at least he seems to me in this first book. Then it comes again why Hua Cheng and him get along, because such being of long-lived conscience could (maybe not always) only get fully interested and invested in conversations that match his knowledge, or are innovative, as to bring to him the new he doesn’t know, rather than the worldly parameters that seem never-changing, boring and dull. Hua Cheng, like Xie Lian, is himself, although his pendencies in shadow-work, and by that aspect itself he is unique, brings the new, therefore, is interesting to this aged soul. Xie Lian has lived long enough through troubles and his own bad luck that he seems to have learned to appreciate mishappenings, ‘troubles’ and ‘bad’ things, as he seems to have internalized that everything is transient, temporary, but only he himself isn’t, and rather, learned to appreciate these changes life promotes by itself, working hard to solve what’s in need of help, bring solutions and learn all again through them or foresee an outcoming for the best it can be, that will rest as solution for those people, at that consciousness, through that time in their era. I personally relate to Xie Lian, that’s why I am very affectionate of him in a personal level, but even though he does the same to Hua Cheng, it is still visible he hold tenderness to all, as he learned -and still seems to be learning- to not only accept, but love all and everything as they are, how they come. Beautiful. Wonderful piece of literature.
