Rapid Pro Mechanical Pencil, 0.7 mm, Silver

The weight and feel of this pencil are perfect, making it an essential part of my design work. I mainly use it for note-taking and sketches and I buy the .7mm because it is less apt to snapping the lead. I WISH they made this pencil in .9mm for my red lead (red is even more fragile). I had a bonding moment with a client recently who pulled out a leather case with several Rotrings, in a variety of lead weights and we geeked out for a few minutes over how much we love these mechanical pencils.

Exceptional product!! Full metal bobby, solid internal mechanic that works every time, giving you a firm lead grip. If you draw with pressure, the lead won’t come back. I’m an architect, and I really, really use this rotring product every day.

Thinner than I expected, but feels great in my hand. Beautifully made, good grip, and looks like it will last a lifetime.

Although I prefer a thicker barrel (big hands), this one works well. The knurling feels great in hand. Mechanism works like a fine mechanism should. The 7mm lead (for me) is strong enough to keep from breaking every two seconds. The finish is very classy. Have had the black one before but after six months of daily use, you could definitely see the wear. So far, after a month, this chrome/mat finish remains looking brand new. I've gotten quite adept (without thinking about it) of retracting the lead. I like this function because of the shirts I wear. Overall, a quality pencil that pairs well with my Tombow pen.

I’ve been using this pencil for 5 years and it’s in the same condition as it was when I got it. It’s very durable. It writes well and almost never has lead break.

Well, its a bit steep in price, but engineers generally keep there mechanical pencils for a long long time. This Rotring replaced a trusty Koh-i-noor Rapidomatic that was well worn and getting wobbly at the threaded connection point. it has been semi-retired and filled with red lead, to be used on drawing markups. The Rotring feels very sold and balanced. It also has a but of a spring action when pressing down, so you have less of a tendency to break lead when writing. Im glad I spent the extra money on this pencil and i trust that i will get many years of usage out of it.

Portamine superiore alla media. Ho acquistato il color argento, mina 0.7. Attualmente durezza HB. Tutto in metallo. Peso adeguato anche ad una mano minuta, e per chi ha il "polso" che sfiora la carta, e non ama "calcare". Impugnatura zigrinata: il massimo che si può desiderare, per la precisione. Baricentro: ideale per disegni, e per schizzi o scrittura, e l'uso risulta piacevole. Estetica: teutonicamente spartano, ma gradevole e professionale. Manca (ma è poca cosa, per me), il visualizzatore per la durezza della mina. È la via di mezzo fra il 600 e il blasonato 800. Il prezzo non è poi così elevato, se pensiamo alla qualità: è fatto per durare molti anni, lo si evince dalla struttura e dai materiali. Ritengo di aver fatto un buon acquisto.
