Why does this Prime-eligible item cost $11.98 when the standard price this item is sold for elsewhere seems to be $5.99?

I know this question is old, but, I thought I would answer it anyhow. I always check to see what the "ships from and sold by Amazon" price is and frequently only buy those as Amazon doesn't inflate their prices like some third party sellers do. At the moment the set is 6.99 (from Amazon), which seems like a great price.

Anyone use these for rock climbing?

I see this question is about 6 years old but I want to clarify for anyone else reading it that the other answers are from people that are clearly not rock climbers. I havent personally used this brush for rock climbing but for what it's worth, I do think it would work well as the bristles are stiff and would last a while.

Could they be used with white vinegar to remove calcium deposits in electric kettles?

I have always had difficulty with calcium deposits in my electric kettles (I am on my second kettle after the first one started making loud popping noises--I decided it was no longer safe). Anyway, when using vinegar to clean electric kettles, what proportion of water to vinegar do you use? And do you heat the vinegar water? Thank you for your information.By the way, I spray vinegar on weeds to good effect. Not noxious for my cats or dog.

Would this work on a stainless steel sink for the corners? Or would the bristles scratch it?

Your best bet for a stainless steel sink is Barkeepers's Friend. It is made to clean stainless steel, and works very well. As you scrub with it your cloth will turn gray polishing away the grime and dullness.
