ECCO Women's Shape 25 Ankle Chelsea Boot

I bought these, along with 7 other pairs of boots to try to find something comfortable but stylish for travel (I only bring one or two pairs of shoes at most, and wanted something versatile) and these were the winners. I wore these on a European trip a week after receiving them and they are the best boots I've ever had. They're very lightweight, the leather is buttery soft, and they are the most comfortable boot I've ever had. I never had fewer than 18,000 steps over 9 days and wore these boots all but one day and never even noticed my feet.

They fit well out of the box. I wear a 10.5 ish and ordered the 42. They are a little roomy and as such don't offer much support around the ankle. They overall feel a little lackluster, without much support but I got a great deal so I'll keep them and just wear them with thick socks.

I LOVE ECCO shoes and have a few pairs. They are ALWAYS comfortable out the box and never need breaking in. These boots did not disappoint! I wear 10.5-11 in shoes but always get 11 in boots. They are super light, comfortable and the leather is very soft. They looks great!

The boots are great I wish they fit, sizing is off. I usually wear a 12 and the 12-12.5 were WAY too tight to the point my foot falls asleep. This seller is going to charge you $100-$200 to return to whatever absurd country these ship from and did not disclose that. Be 1000% sure that the size you order will fit but with the sizing being weird I DO NOT recommend. There’s also no place to contact them so I will be reaching out to Amazon to see if they’ll give me my return. Very frustrating.

So apparently ECCO makes a few different runs of shoes and sells to different markets, in store is handmade in Portugal which is what I originally purchased in an Ecco store a few years ago. This is specifically the Shoes Outlet seller, (the UK seller was in fact Portugal and fit exactly the same HOORAY!) So while the first style code matches the other does not and unfortunately the seller didn't provide and stated as imported which isn't very helpful to discern before buying. The shoes almost** look identical except the foot bed is MORE narrow which is important for fit like I'm sure it's within specs for the machine made version in China but tiny differences in width literally decide if a shoe fits or not. Then the upper leather itself is really stiff which will affect comfortability, it could crack vs break in, the stitching to the sole is different and thicker rubber outersole was not trimmed down as much, the provided insoles are thinner, and a different material for the shoe insert itself. Thankfully I received Made in Portugal shoes from the other seller (Amazon UK) so I could compare new to new and they fit better, the leather is more supple etc so I'm glad I'm returning the other ones Are these boots any good? Uncertain --but just comparing them side by side would leave me to believe they wouldn't hold up the same or be as comfy. I'm not willing to chance it on $100+ purchase if they were super clearance fine but why chance it when I can just buy the real deal ones in store albeit a different style this year. Ps There's also an even cheaper version that has a seam across the ankle, those are even worse dupes and are only made in China/for discount retailers like tjx etc. Sadly these will all go back and I'll just have to wait for a flat to come back in style again.

I had a friend recommend me Ecco. Their reputation is pretty big across shoes namely for their quality and their comfort. These delivered all these things and more. Snug, stylish. and comfortable. They are my favourite boots.
