My previous fan was 5 inches and was installed a good 10 years ago, so wanted to reuse the same holes. Luckily this item was being sold by a reasonable well known company.The good:- Looks very clean and nice- It's not quiet, but it's not loud either, a happy medium- Automatic humidity sensor works well to sense the level of water in the air and starts by itself as expected when cooking food in the kitchenThe bad:- Was hoping for a pullcord string for instant extraction but i knew this wasn't included when i bought it- It is difficult to open the case to adjust the humidty sensor and overrun timer options, I had to apply so much force on the release tab that i was worried the fan will come loose from the wall, but luckily i managed to get it off when required. In that sense, don't close the case fully until you've tested out the settings to ensure it's right for you and your environment.TLDR:There's not much choice in 5 inch fans, and this is the only big brand that does this size, although expensive for an extractor fan, it's worth the purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not quiet, try the 100HT instead *by R***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 April 2021* I have this installed in our kitchen (long story) and it is set to go off when humidty reaches 90%, the lowest setting. It does the job however compared to the 100 HT installed in our bathroom, the 125 HT is noisy and like a jet engine in comparison. Far from quiet and enjoys going off in the night (doing it's job) and has taken a while to get used to.
