Security Camera Wall Mounting Bracket Universal Post Pipe Pole Arm Base for CCTV Security PTZ Camera

It seems everyone makes these for 4" and up OD poles. This was literally the ONLY one I could find that could be mounted to a 1-1/2" to 2" rigid pipe (that wasn't proprietary and WAY over-priced) Thanks to the man in China who had the audacity to go against the industry and dared to be the only one to make it. It's truly universal and solid 400 series (I think or might be 300) stainless steel. Be careful though, while most Die-punched or wire EDM hardware like this have sharp edges, this sucker's edges take the prize. They are near razor sharp.

I bought a few of these to mount cameras on 2 3/8 fence posts. Good, sturdy mount. Comes with 2 hose clamps. No problems mounting my Amcrest 4k cameras. Be a bit careful...the edge of this mount is sharp!

ok. a little smaller than I expected

Pretty similar to many of the other camera pole mounts. One review claimed that it was suitable for a 1.5" pole, but the one I received is not. The gap in the back is about 1.9", so a 1.5" SCH40 galvanized pipe easily fits between the sides, and the band clamps have nowhere to go. A 2" SCH40 galvanized pipe is barely large enough to support the mount. As noted, the piece has a lot of rough edges on the outside, and where the slots have been cut. A grinder will smooth those out fairly easily. Also, the hole drilled in the center is pretty small (3/8"), and you'll have to drill that out to accommodate a waterproof Ethernet connector for a POE camera, if that's what you're mounting. Otherwise seems sturdy, and the band clamps can accommodate pretty large poles. EDIT: I found that by crushing the the angled sides in a vise, I could controllably bend them inwards a little bit, and a pretty slight adjustment will allow them to bite on a smaller pole. I had to make this work with a 1.5" galvanized pole, and a little bending, combined with a shim cut from some 1.5" sch40 pvc (making something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Snap-Clamp-Inch-Inches-White/dp/B0050B0N06/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=pvc+pole+clamp&qid=1601228316&sr=8-5) worked great.

This bracket is very well designed. I will be mounting a 12” x16” painted board between 2 of them. Will have 2 security surveillance cameras 180 degrees from each other and 2 solar panel mounted on it. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Will purchase again when needed.

Used this to mount my Eufy cameras outside. The mounts that came with my camera easily for the cutouts on this mount. The mounts feel quite study. I got the stainless steel with the hopes that they will last a long time outside. So far, so good.

We've had this up for a few months now and been through weather cycles of rain and wind and it is working great. The flag pole is approximately 2.5" in diameter.

The opening on the back of the bracket is just under 2" wide so it will not work well for any pipe smaller than 2" OD. The sharp edges and corners are not deburred and could easily cut anyone who is not careful. The center hole is too small for any cables, like a 3/4" OD watertight Ethernet connector, to pass through and will have to be drilled out. Because of the size of the hole to be drilled and the thickness of the material this would best be done with a drill press. Perhaps the worst thing is the fasteners. Everything appears to be 300 series stainless steel except for the fasteners on the hose clamps. They are highly magnetic and are definitely not 300 series stainless steel. They will probably corrode quickly and it might be a good idea to paint them with a self-priming paint.
