I bought it with my mother in mind. She has scoliosis and needs a comfortable back support behind her. I think she would love it. It is supportive and creates a soft barrier between spine and chair. It's so comfortable. Many back cushions take some time to adjust to them before you get used to them, this one was soft as butter to my back from the start.I like the cover, it is really soft, too. Zipper is helpful for washing.The ONLY issue I have with this is that when the adjustable straps, even when set to the loosest setting, are put around my office chair the pull quite a lot, and I'm afraid they the cover will rip at that point in the near future. I've just been setting the cushion on my chair, but without the straps every time I get up the cushion flops onto the seat. The straps fit better on a smaller chair, like a dining chair.Regardless of that issue, I can recommend this back support as the softest yet more supportive one that I've ever had.UPDATE: I have bought 3-4 lumbar cushions since this one and this one is by far the best. I wanted this Travelease Lumbar memory foam cushion mostly for use in my car. The first place I tried this cushion is in my car and I definitely want to keep it there. It is not hard support at all but the most comfortable memory foam lumbar support cushion I have ever used. The memory foam does not feel like cheap stuff and it gives you cushion as well as support. I used to fidget not getting comfortable when driving and I found myself no longer doing that when using this cushion. The back has two sets of straps to attach to different chairs. In my car I don't use the straps and the cushion stays in place.My only concern is the directions say not to get the memory foam too hot or cold. My plan is to use this in the car continually.
