is this sulfate-free and alcohol-free? I hope the manufacturer will answer

The ingredients are listed on the Amazon page right before the suggestion to purchase other products with this product. You do have to touch to expand the ingredients list. I don’t know how alcohol is listed, but this product doesn’t have the sulfur containing methylisothiazolinone. I’m allergic to methylisothiazolinone and sulfa drugs. I used to use a mousse from Arrojo, but they put methylisothiazolinone in it. Thankfully I found this product, which I like better.

Does it flake? Does it make your hair less shiny?

No flaking - EVER! Makes your hair MORE shiny. Best mousse out there. Period.

I have used matrix vavoom volumizing mousse for years and it is now discontinued and i'm looking for a replament. anyone tried both?

I recently purchased the foam! I wasn't sure what to expect... What I do... is shampoo my hair, then towel dry to where still slightly damp! Shake the container of Sculpting Mouse and press down and squirt out about a tblsn. amount! Let it sit and dry on my hair! Once hair feels all dry throughout...take brush and brush all through! Gave me incredible fullness! I'm very happy with result!!! I have short hair! Hope this helps!😍

Does this contain aloe?

No, and I wouldn't want aloe on my hair, especially if I want volume on my fine, baby hair.
