Review: A great tablet for the price - Recently I have been wanting a larger surface area to draw on, normally I just draw on my phone, but sometimes it’s really nice to have a larger surface area to work with. It was a bit of a spur of the moment purchase but I decided to give the VEIKK A30 V2 a try. I originally could not get the tablet to work with GIMP, and had decided to try the tablet with a newer program called Krita but due to some help from the awesome customer support I am now able to use the tablet with GIMP. To get the tablet to work with GIMP: 1.Open Gimp, go to the edit pull down menu and click Input device. 2. Choose “VEIKK Tablet pressure stylus” - Mode(Screen) then close the dialogue 3. Select the paintbrush tool, use your stylus pen to select the Dynamics drop down menu and select Pressure Size from the options. I am really glad that I can now use my tablet to edit my gimp files. That being said, if I am just drawing I think I like using the Krita program a bit more. The tablet is very easy to use both with programs that I am familiar with, like Gimp and programs that I am still learning, like Krita. I have not used anything with pressure sensitivity before and it is taking a little time to really get used to, but it is a very fun learning experience. I like that I don’t have to manually go in and change my brush size, instead I can just put more or less pressure on the tablet. I am still not used to all the buttons on the side of the tablet but I have found that the ctrl + z shortcut is incredibly useful. The pen not needing to be charged is also a huge plus for me, I have trouble remembering to charge the one that I use with my phone, but now it doesn’t matter, I can just grab the tablet and pen and draw without having to worry about it. The pen is also a really nice size, it’s not too thin and it’s also very light weight. I honestly just always assumed that to get a decent tablet you would have to spend over $100, but this tablet has already proven to be both affordable and really easy to use, even installation was a breeze. So if you are looking for a great tablet that won’t break the bank, you should totally grab one of these.
Review: Worth the buy - I was in the market for a new tablet, and being a broke college student, I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars on something like a Wacom tablet.Luckily, I was able to stumbleupon Veikk and order this tablet for myself. I was skeptical at first because of the price, but I'm actually surprised and satisfied with the tablet! Here’s a bit of a more in depth look at the tablet if you still need some convincing. >Unboxing The tablet itself comes in a nice, slim, black box. Weighing about 2 and a half pounds, tablet and items included. Was very easy to pick up, hold, and open.Inside you’ll find: -The tablet itself inside a sleek plastic case Meant to protect the tablet when being shipped. Just open it up and remove the tablet to use. Underneath is a white box containing 1 tablet pen inside a foam pouch Pen is about the typical size of a pen/pencil. 1 type C USB A driver download card Go ahead and take it out and inside you’ll find 1 start up guide 8 extra pen nibs And 1 pen nib remover Conveniently, the pen nibs and remover are located in the same little bag. Now onto the tablet itself. Now this is simply a Pen Tablet,it is not a model including a screen, does not double as a second monitor, and it is not meant for portable single use. You will need a computer and or laptop in order to use this. The tablet has a working space of 10 x 6 inches. Around the size of a normal piece of printing paper, which is plenty of room to work on. The pen is very light weight and easy to hold and use. I don’t have any issues with gripping it. Now, here’s some PROs and CONs. PROS Good packaging. Very affordable Pen Pressure is VERY good. It feels just like you’re using a pen and paper, and you don’t need to apply much pressure to get it to work. 4 touch keys These can be adjusted as shortcut keys.Which is very convenient for artists, so you don’t have to constantly be using the keyboard. Very easy to set up The downloader card included has a link to the Veikk website where you can download the tablets drivers, for both windows and macbooks. In total, downloading and installing, took me less than 5 minutes. Compatible with most art programs I typically use photoshop, medibang, and illustrator(for class and personal use) and the tablet has no issue with it. CONS No hand glove This tablet does not include any sort of glove protection for your hands, like others do. However, these aren’t very expensive and you can typically buy one for cheap. Overall, this is a very good tablet for the price and a very good beginner tablet. You will not be disappointed in buying this. Any beginning artists reading this or someone who just needs a good inexpensive tablet, should definitely look into this.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good and durable graphic tablet, good for beginners and veterans
*by D***E on October 28, 2019*

(Image: drawing I made using the Veikk A30 and Paint Tool sai) I think the Veikk A30 would be a very dependable and worthy purchase for it’s price range. It came to me at a nice time, about 2 days after I ordered it. Something I really appreciated because I didn’t have to pine after it at all! I didn’t even pay for special shipping, it was very convenient for me. The A30 is able to be used for both left and right handed people! That’s something I found really cool is how inclusive they are about that. It’s got the Type C USB cord for your computer just that allows for this, and a little indent that helps protect the cord from being damaged. The tablet has 8192 Levels of Pen pressure, with a drawing space of 10x6 inch working area. The actual dimensions of the A30 are 13 by 8 inches! But it’s also lightweight and not too bulky or anything. I really like how I feel I could take this around easily just as I would my Huion Inspiron. The tablet has working capability with a wide variety of programs, including krita, painttool sai, And Fire alpaca! The A30 feels so oddly futuristic to me, because while it has 4 customizable hotkeys, are tappable, and it also comes with a little touchpad. They’re a little difficult to see, though, but I like them fine! The fact they’re touchscreen is just so interesting to me and I really appreciate it! It’s an interesting detail I’ve never had with any other tablet. I also like how the design for the A30 has this little hole thing that protects your cable from bending in odd ways and wearing it down. Another thing is I love the pen design for this one! It’s so sleek and professional looking. Very nice pen on the A30, no complaints. The pen is battery and charge free, allowing you to draw forever until your hand falls off. I also appreciated that because I already had the driver for the Veikk A15, I could plug in the Veikk A30 and it automatically adapted and set itself accordingly. I really appreciated that because it saved a lot of time and I was able to just get right into drawing. However, if you have a driver for another brand or another tablet, it’s important to uninstall that driver before installing the new driver because it’ll mess up your computer and functionality of the tablet. Just a general rule of thumb for whenever you get a new tablet of any kind! Now for how it performs! Disclaimer that all critiques I made are not dealbreakers, just minor inconveniences I had to deal with as no product is perfect. With the Veikk A30 I hardly notice the squeakiness that a new tablet usually has. Like it’s slightly there, but not nearly as noticeable. The tablet has a very nice response rate, I think the one for the A30 is like 250 RPS?? And the wide pressure sensitivity is very consistent, which makes it easier for having consistent line weight within the drawing! It works well with each program I’ve used it for so far, being Paint tool sai, krita, And Fire alpaca. It’s genuinely a good quality tablet that I think is a professional home hitter! A lot of companies like selling tablets nowadays, and I know Wacom and Huion are kind of the go to companies when people think of getting a tablet. But I think Veikk may genuinely be the next home hitter! High quality for such a low price? Heck yeah! Having such a large drawing space is super nice and again; almost feels like a steal for it being such a decent tablet. It’s perfect for coloring and lineart and I just love drawing with this tablet! It doesn’t respond to my hand and I love how the texture of it feels when drawing. It is very nice. I think that I might prefer the A30 to any previous tablet I’ve owned. It comes off as incredibly sturdy and dependable in quality. I don’t find a need for two many hotkeys, so I feel like using the A30 with it’s 4 hotkeys is a little less intimidating for me and I like it a lot better. It all depends on your own preferences though, and specific personal aesthetics and qualities you value in a tablet! I know tons of artists who really value having a lot of hotkeys but if you only use a few, this one might be a better fit for you. Do I recommend the Veikk A30? Yes. I really appreciate Veikk as a company in the sense of how quality their tablets are. I very much like. I think that the Veikk A30 would be a very good starter tablet for any artists who are trying to get their foot in the door about starting digital art! I look forward to experimenting more with the A30, and creating more content. With it. Thank you for listening to my review!
