This OMT Helicoil thread repair kit was exactly what I needed for a repair where a larger bolt was not an option. I used it on my nail gun, where I needed to restore the original thread size instead of drilling out for a bigger fastener. The process was straightforward — I was able to tap the hole and install the Helicoil insert, and it worked out great. I added some blue thread locker to help keep everything secure, and the repair has held up well. This fit perfectly. Being made of stainless. It’ll be stronger than it was before. The original threads were made of magnesium. This kit saved the day and was worth every penny. Instead of replacing the tool or trying to modify it with a larger bolt, I was able to restore it back to working condition. A great option to have on hand for repairs where you need to fix damaged threads while keeping the original hardware size.

This kit saved the day. 1999 Accord valve cover repair gone bad. This did the trick and now I've got a tight seal again.

I would recommend this , only negative I could say is the Tool itself is on the cheap side , but what do you expect for the price so yeah it’s a decent enough to do the job .
