CARNATION Evaporated Milk 4 Count, 12 Fl Oz

I use evaporated milk quite a bit in our kitchen, and Nestlé Carnation has worked wonderfully in everything I have made with it.Most recently, I made bread pudding using leftover homemade cinnamon swirl bread along with some homemade Hawaiian rolls I had left from a church potluck. The evaporated milk gave the bread pudding a wonderfully rich, creamy texture without making it heavy. I even used it in the homemade caramel sauce that I poured over the finished bread pudding, and it turned out absolutely delicious.I tasted the evaporated milk by itself as well. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor with a smooth, creamy consistency. That richness is exactly why I like using evaporated milk instead of regular milk in certain recipes.I also use it for homemade fudge, my grandmother’s brown candy, my mom’s mashed potatoes, gravies, and several other family recipes. For my farmstand cinnamon rolls, I sometimes pour a little around the rolls before baking, which helps make them especially soft, rich and gooey.One thing I really appreciate about evaporated milk is how versatile it is. It works beautifully in both sweet and savory recipes. In mashed potatoes and gravy, it gives a fuller, creamier flavor than regular milk. It is especially good in bread pudding, caramel sauces, fudge, mashed potatoes, gravies and cinnamon rolls. Size of can is typically larger then I need so I refrigerate and you can freeze as well if not using soon, also, it’s great in cream soups.For taste, thickness, versatility, convenience and value, this is absolutely a pantry staple in our home. Highly recommend! I forgot to mention in video but I also used 1/4 cup melted butter in recipe.

The product met my expectation and will buy it again

Before it was nestle it was just carnation milk. I was raised on it. It used to make good formula forbabies back in 60's. Now used for my cream of wheat or on cold cereal with mix regular milk. Great item tohave in your Emergency stock.

Product quality is always consistent and good. It is a trusted brand. I keep it around for baking and times the power goes off. I don't drink it because all canned milk has that canned milk taste, but it is great for baking and emergencies. You can trust this brand.
