Recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far, so good! *by G***E on January 11, 2019* I had an older, powered external drive from the same company that failed after 3.5 years. Since I’d had good luck with some other USB non-powered drives I thought I’d give this a try. Initially my iMac recognized the drive immediately. I file share with my Mac Mini (which serves as my dedicated music server) and when I plugged the drive into my Mac Mini it failed to mount on my desktop. Back to the iMac, same problem! I had to restart the computer and then it mounted on the desktop. Off to the Home Theater room and bingo! I don’t know why it was so problematic for both Macs to recognize the drive properly but now, after 3 days of use it seems to work fine as my dedicated drive to hold all of my music files.
