First use the blade broke into three pieces (there are two white pieces on either side of the blade that are glued together). I contacted company a few days ago. No response. **Q: Requires tevila?** A: Yes **Q: Do the knobs come off if I get food underneath them?** A: I can't say that I've tried, bit I don't think they come off. There is a gap, however, where you can get a cloth underneath to clean.
