Product Description This CD contains a link to a secret Summerland Website. Features songs by Jesse McCartney & New Found Glory. Image. 2005. .com The WB network's popular series finds California fashion designer Ava Gregory's (Lori Loughlin) hip beachfront lifestyle turned topsy-turvy when a family tragedy spurs her to take custody of her niece and two nephews. The show's buoyant soundtrack plays off those often bittersweet familial concerns with a collection that's by turns spunky and introspective. The energetic punk-pop of Bowling for Soups "Undertow," Collective Soul's "General Attitude" and "All Downhill From Here" from Florida's New Found Glory kick the collection off in high gear, before the blue-eyed, teeny-pop-soul of Jesse McCartney's hit "Get Your Shine On" breaks the spell. Alt.vets Lisa Loeb and New York's Ivy offer quieter, more poignant intrigues, while Kenny Wayne Shepherd dishes up the arena-scaled "Alive" and newcomers Kristian Leontiou and Ringside round out the collection with haunting R&B angst and club-friendly grooves, respectively. --Jerry McCulley

why inspired by?!...
this show is great and has so much good songs on each of it episodes,so why did they put songs inspired by the show?!...what's the use in that?!there is not a single song from season 1 to!...could have been better for me,love the CD though, but hope the only song inspired by is the one by jesse mccartney and the rest will be featuring on season 2!...anyhow,alive by kenny wayne shepherd doesn't siut the spirit of the show,it was better on the mountain where it was featuring at the begining...exept these things, you definatly need this CD to your collection for it great singers and groups.

Summerland-ness
Even if you don't watch Summerland this soundtrack is more than worth picking up, if only for the All American Rejects "My Paper Heart" and New Found Glory's "All Downhill From Here." Jesse McCartney, one of the stars, proves he is multitalented with "Get Your Shine On." Buy this cd and immerse yourself in all it's Summerland-ness!

Summerland
I think that this was a good cd. I liked how they had punk bands on it like N ew found glory and All american rejects. I was so glad to see Jesse McCartney on there. He is my favorite male singer right now. This is a great show for music.

My Review
Although many television sound tracks aren't my usual listening, this Summerland Sound track is awesome. The show is my favorite and the soundtrack doesn't let me down. Even though Jesse Mccartney is on the soundtrack, he is not the only reason why I love the soundtrack. Struggle goes along the Bradin(Jesse's character)and his struggles in High School and going through the hard part in people's lives. Alive is a part of Bradin's love life. Try is a beautiful and soulful song. My Paper Heart is another favorite of mine. All American Rejects are a punky group. It gives Summerland a more upbeat feel. All Downhill From Here is one of my most favorite songs. Beautiful Day is the theme song and I think fits with the show. The song reminds me of the beach on a hot sunny day. Get Your Shine On deals with many teens nowadays. Feel So Free- Bradin does feel free on the show but gets in trouble because he is not that free and he learns for himself that everything has consequences. Although many of the songs deal with Bradin's character the songs deal with other aspects of the show. I give this a 10 out of 10. It is a definite get for all of Summerland's fans and viewers.
