Can the extender be used as a short length duster? Should I buy the duster with just the short handle in addition?

The handle will shorten. Not quite as short as the small duster, but I just use the one. I keep the handle short and then when I need the long handle, I just push the little button that locks the handle and pull out the extender. Sure saves a lot of work. I am glad I have it.

Do the 180 dusters fit this handle?

Yes, you just don't get the same dusting coverage as the 360 refill.

Do I need to buy the duster, too?

No, it comes with the duster and a refill. You will need to buy refills eventually.

how long does it extend?

I'm 5'2 and can easily reach ceiling fans to dust. I would say maybe 3 feet from tip to tip

Genial para limpiar partes superiores de muebles que estan muy altos y persianas entre otros

super bien limpia y el hecho de que se pueda hacer mas largo es genial, para insertar la parte que limpia sugiero lo coloques en una superficie plana para encontrar los canales y luego girarlo para que se esponge... y tambien les recomiendo ver el video de youtube de la marca por si es tu primera vez usando este articulo o por si tienes mucho tiempo sin usarlo y ya olvidaste como se colocan los insertos
