That means three patch cables have the same space as standard patch cables. The slim cat8 cable is much easier to routing multiple connections in smaller spaces. Review: I just bought a patch panel and was going to crimp every patch cable. For me the price was well worth the saved time! I was done in minutes instead of 2+ hours (I'm not fast at crimping RJ45). My fear with the 12" version is they would be too stiff to rotate due to the short length. My 48 port switch has one row of jacks upright and the other row upside down. But I was able to plug them into either row without feeling like I was compromising the cable. I haven't bothered to do any appropriate speed tests because CAT8 far exceeds the speed of my 2.5 GbE network. They are at least as fast as my 250 Mbit ISP.
