Overall great led, very easy interface - high and low, temporary on off as well as full click rear switch. Good build quality, nice 2 way clip. Haven’t tried 10440 but this Version 2 takes them as the original version doesn’t supposedly - which brings the output to 300 lm, but 200 lm as I’m running with standard rechargeable aaa nimh is adequate, it comes with an alkaline aaa but I noticed flickering with that battery. The only thing that is strange or different about this light with either battery that I’ve run it with is that there is like a very slight gradual “ramping” or delay wheb switched to high mode, it’s very slight but it’s not something I’ve seen on any other light I’ve owned and that is a collection of 30 plus led lights. It may have something to do with the new circuitry of the version 2 or could just be my particular light. Size - it’s bigger than a Lumintop Tool AAA for comparison, but makes it easier to hold. It you are new to flashlights or as general recommendation for an instant EDC lineup - here are my current favorites for a 4 light simple and cost/ budget effective AAA/AA capable lineup - 1. Olight i3e aaa for keychain, 2. this Olight i3t or Lumintop Tool AAA for small rear click pocket light, 3. Acebeam Pokelit AA (comes with rechargeable lithium), 4. Acebeam Tac AA (comes with rechargeable lithium). 4 lights that cover pretty much anything you will need for say 65-75 bucks total for all - depending on sale price at the time of each.

This is the perfect EDC flashlight for everyday uses. Very small & compact, about a finger length. Takes 1 AAA Battery. Light signature is not overbearing & you don’t have to cycle through a bunch of settings you’re never going to use! There’s the 200 lumen setting & there’s a 50 linen setting for when you need a quick glance. Good candela. I work outside in all weather & after midnight before dawn & this little light goes with me no matter what & has held up perfectly! Lightweight design. So good I wanted to get another one, but so good I don’t need two!

This is quite possibly the best EDC flashlight you could own if you’re looking for minimalism, quality, and price. This is a super slim, mini flashlight that just takes a single triple AAA battery and last a long time. It’s super comfortable in the hand, feels highly durable and tough, very lightweight, easy to put in your pocket. There’s not much in terms of lighting options, it’s just a simple on and off switch, but the switch itself feels very tactile, and also quality. There’s an included multi clip that you can use to attach to your pants, belts, dog, leash, backpack, vest, anything you can think of because it has a dual clip so you can clip it up or down. Absolutely love this as my EDC flashlight. With 200 lumens and 963 candelas it’s just enough power for every day use and doesn’t break the bank. This is an amazing gift for anyone in your life that loves the outdoors or likes to carry tools in their pockets, like husbands, boyfriends, fathers. Girlfriends, mothers, sisters, that walk around at night, really anyone. Awesome stocking stuffer when it comes to holiday time.

Last time this light was on sale the orange color wasn't available, so I got a green one. The green was fine but sometimes not easy to find in low light (I needed a flashlight to find my dark green Olight). So when they went on sale again, I got the orange one. Flashlights are getting too complicated. RGB, non-stepped continuous brightness levels, different color temperatures, strobe, beacon, SOS, etc. The problem with those is you need a copy of the instruction manual with you to use them. So for my EDC lights I like to keep things simple (2 or 3 brightness levels with a simple, intuitive interface). This is a simple, bright, single AAA flashlight with a tactical style momentary on or push to click on switch. You can change the default mode (high or low) and then a quick double tap or off/on cycle will change to the other mode. Once you've set the default mode you'll never need the manual again. It's small, bright (200 lumens on a disposable alkaline battery, or 300 with a rechargeable battery) and has a 2-way pocket clip. I've tried it with NiMH and 1.5V Lithium rechargeable batteries and it works great with either. If you want something smaller than the Olight I3T 2, you'll need to get something like the Lumintop EDC01, which also has a simple 3 mode, twist on/off interface, and is about as small as you can get in a single AAA flashlight (but it doesn't have a pocket clip and is not as bright as the Olight).

Debated about going with a rechargeable but quite a thew things influenced my decision to this. It's not another thing to charge. It's cheap. It takes up hardly any space in yr pocket. It has a low vis pocket clip and an opposite facing hat clip which is how I use it most of the time, and if you already have and charge yr rechargeable AAA's and charge them pretty much weekly for other reasons then a rechargeable isn't as much of a concern. Not to mention if the powers out for any length of time and you don't have a way to get yr own power then batteries might be the better option. You could probably even scavenge them if need be. It's a great little light! Pretty bright for the size. I'll update this review in a few months to see how it does over time but if it holds up... could've found the light that ends all others, for me anyway.
