Horrible directions
Pretty cool little models, but you have to watch out in certain steps because it gets kind of vague on the directions. I kind of go the extra mile with these things and get a little overboard. After applying the tissue paper, make sure you put on a few thin coats of clear lacquer to seal it. Then graphics and paint. Fabricated my own floats and all graphics done by masking off whatever it took to come up with mostly my vision. The decals are kind of horrible too, because when you go to soak them and pull them out they fall apart.

Laser cut is a game changer
Having a good time putting this 150 together. The balsa quality/thickness is just fine and the laser-cut parts just about fall off the sheet when you pick them up. Very nice improvement over the older style die-cuts. Only complaint is a lack of clear instructions for the rear window installation, m3? part#? Had to search the web for a better idea of what goes where, without the 'net you'd be hosed in this area. I'm maybe halfway thru and already have my next kit, Cessna Bird-Dog, en route. And busy planning for the next after that. Great way to spend cold fall/winter evenings. Anticipating a learning curve on the tissue covering...

Nice kit, great instructions
Everything looks good, my one complaint is… I bought it to fly. Would you be is so kind to send me the firewall. I think it’s great you stopped shipping them with your product because people may or may not have been using them. I purchased the kit assuming it would be good to go.

Had a lot of fun building this plane
Had a lot of fun building this plane, but it needs patience. It took me quite some time to build it as I never built model planes before. You can easily damage the parts and finished plane can get tilted or crooked as mine if you are not very careful (it still looks very nice though). I broke the fuselage cage in many different sections but those are easy to repair. Initially I wanted to fly it but now I don't as I spent way too much time on it.

Requires lots of attention to small details
The laser die cut parts were very well done. No problem getting them out. Construction steps leave lots to be desired. Many small steps that need to be done before continuing on are left to find out by mistake....so study the plans first, pretend that you are building each part, look for those sneaky things that are not clearly marked, then actually build. I'll give it a 3 out of 5. I also fail to understand why I have to cut out the pilot halves, wheel pants to put them together....really! I have built many models and I was helping my granddaughter build this model as part of a school engineering project. It still is much better than the old days when we had to sand parts out of the poor die cutting.
