It's basically just taking a very thin layer of acrylic off. **Q: Can I use Dawn dishwasher soap to wash the headlights?** A: So first wash your headlights and the areas around them with very diluted Dawn, and make sure you rinse them thoroughly. Then go to step one after you have dry the lights. Then with a bottle filled with plain water, squirt some plain water onto your headlights and onto the sanding circle and follow the directions then rinse with water only before you begin step three. Make sure all the areas around your headlights and the headlights are bone dry. A towel dried them very thoroughly and then let my car sit in the garage for a couple hours before I did the third step . Before you begin the third step, you will look at the head luncheon. Wonder if this is all gonna turn out OK but I guarantee you once you wipe the third step on it’s amazing how clear your headlights will be.
