The plate sits perfectly in the provided black wood stand. The cream color with the gold accents just makes this super sophisticated and elegant looking. While this could be a lovely gift for a newlywed couple, it is also an amazing gift even if you've been married fifteen years such as myself. It has so much special significance. On the back of the plate they have an area to add your name and date on the back. The craftsmanship of this "Blessing plate" is exquisite. I had placed this in our living room on a floating shelf. As soon as one of my daughters came downstairs, IMMEDIATELY recognised the plate and was in awe of how beautiful it looked. The message is so endearing and warm, you really cannot go wrong with this. They have perfected this plate in my honest opinion. I am SO delighted with this decorative piece. This is made of ceramic so it has a good weight to it. Also, the wood easel provided is 100% solid and sturdy, I have no worries about it falling over due to a cheap easel. It is evident that the artisan that created this took a great deal of time to perfect this Blessing plate. It is giftable as it comes in a gift box, so that is another plus for this lovely plate. Dimensions for your reference: 10.51 x 10.43 x 2.32 inches and the weight is 1.46 pounds, so light but definitely very durable and stable. The "plate" itself is nine inches. You should ONLY HAND WASH this plate. Therefore, based on how PHENOMENAL this Blessing plate is - I am 100% recommending this to other consumers.
